NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child attended this school for Kindergarten and First grade (2015-2017).SUBJECTIVEMy family lived in Baldwin for more than 70 years and I went through the school district from k-12. I believe that the blue collar, meritocratic ethic that made up the community and school district in the past was absent at Mcannulty during the years my child attended. I believe that the traditional values that created the community have been replaced within the school with postmodernist ideals (objectivity is an illusion / spelling words correctly subverts oppressed groups, etc.).My child's grammar regressed as their education at Mcannulty progressed. As a parent, I would not recommend this school. OBJECTIVE When my child attended Mcannulty they had excellent grades. When our child was independently tested we found that their language skills were at a grade level of 1.2 when tested at their true grade level of 1.6. THIS is 4 MONTHS BEHIND with an hour+ of homework a night. At her new school she tested at a grade level of 3.5 at a true grade level of 2.6. She was 11 months ahead with a no homework policy for 2nd grade! Compare this to being 4 months behind at Mcannulty. At the beginning of Kindergarten my child could count to 34 and by the middle of Kindergarten they could count to 37. What was the teacher doing with her? The teacher also did not realize that the curriculum called for multiple assessments a semester until I pointed it out in her curriculum book for her.My child's First grade teacher had poor grammar. My child also learned that year that when I correct her grammar it is okay to reply with "that is how kids talk". The First grade teacher also felt it was okay to lie to my wife and use Kindergarten assessments to grade reading fluency in First grade. The Principal's twitter account was linked directly to the school website. When I clicked on the official Twitter profile of the Principal I found he posted a woman defecating into her hand and throwing it at a service worker!I could go on. We are happy with our childrens' new school district. My advice to those who have children at Mcannulty is to have your child independently tested to make sure they are where they need to be. If you are looking to move to the district I cannot recommend this school.Parent Review7y ago3 Reviews - Whitehall Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFood is terrible, Cheese is solid, once the milk was frozen, fire alarm went off 3 times in one school year, all false alarms, wifi constantly has issues, constant fights, smart boards always lagging and crashing, no bells at all, PA system always goes down, someone brought in honey packs, ceiling leaked in both the cafeteria and gym multiple times, rooms are either way too hot or way too cold, constant light issues, projector fell off of the wall in the auditorium, constant issues at the whole school.Student Review6mo ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near 946 Sanda Dr.

"Best kept secret neighborhood in Pittsburgh! Quiet, private, and peaceful views of the city and surrounding neighborhoods. Just minutes to every major artery - north, south, east and west, and to the Strip and downtown. Working professionals, young families, couples and single people are buying here now. "
