  • Maryw1973
"There is always something going on here in Ashland. They have the strawberry Faire in the summertime. There’s Light Up the Tracks, Parades for Christmas, Halloween, the Fourth of July, etc. during the summer they have a fourth Fridays, which is a huge event with vendors, both food vendors and retail vendors and it’s just an exciting time to get out and know your neighbors."

  • Liss
"The commute is too long to work and other activities, and I95 tends to have constant congestion/accidents in this area. "
  • David M.
"Hanover County regulates licensing and leash laws for the Town of Ashland. All dogs must be current on their rabies vaccinations and be on leash when off property. If a dog is found to be loose without tags, the dog will be held at Animal Control until an owner is identified."
  • David M.
"Community “get-togethers” and public events are closely monitored by law enforcement. There is a fantastic sense of community in Ashland."

"Nothing really, it’s ok. Quiet, lazy kind of area. There is a lot of foot traffic more towards England St and Highway 1. People can not drive to save their lives near the Chick Fil A."
  • Nicknjessxoxo
"Need a car to get to most places, unless you live near the college. The college area has a lot of close shops, restaurants and convenience stores. "
  • kmk51
"We have lived in the Town of Ashland for just over two years. Specifically, we are a block and a half west of the train station. The neighbors are very friendly and helpful. From our location it is an easy stroll to the fine restaurants in the heart of this eclectic town"
