N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is amazing, the teachers and staff are great. The curriculum is put together very well especially reading, writing, math and science. The music and physical education program is rotated throughout the week. The teachers and staff walk their classes to their buses everyday. They make sure that everyone is on and wait until every child is picked up before leaving. I love this school and I highly recommend it.Parent Review9y ago - Astoria Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI highly recommend all schools in Astoria, my kids have been to 2 out of the 4, the middle and high school! I’ve also worked at Lewis and Clark and Astor Elementary, Every single teacher shows more support than I’ve ever seen, they actually care about our students, the class rooms are around 20 students. To me this these are two of the most important things! They will work with and always put the student first and I have seen this first hand! Being a military family and seeing many different school districts, this is by far our first pick for excellence!Parent Review11mo ago - Lewis & Clark Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageso where do I begin, this is the worst school that I have ever had the displeasure of having my child in. Not only does she come home with lice all the time!! they refuse to let everybody know that there's an outbreak of lice in there school. They flat refused as a matter of fact, and hushed me when I was talking to them about the issue. they want to keep it as quite as possible, I find this disturbing to say the least, considering I'm having to treat my child with RID every two weeks, and it's February and have been doing this since September. And bullying is another problem I have with the schools inhabitants, my kid was pushed down, with such force I had to take her to the emergency room, my child ask the principal for help with the bully situation, he laughed in her face!! and said we'll see what we can do. I can't believe they would allow a man like that in a position with small children! its to the point now where I'm pulling my kid out of Lewis and Clark. and I'm going to let people know why! people working with children sould love children, and its apparent there is no love in his heart for children, or his job, it's obviously a job that pay the bills, Terrible.Parent Review9y ago - Check out schools near 92364 Willow Rd.

"The neighbors hate dogs, the other neighbors or too nosey, ODOT wont give us a pull in or pullout lane which means you have a 3 second pullout because of the blind curve on highway 30."

"Dog owners love the Riverwalk and use it extensively as motorists are not allowed. It’s a perfect haven for pets and per watchers. "

"Lots of older people but still friendly enough with kids. Close to a few different parks. Traffic can be a bit fast near main roads so stay vigilant. "

"Would not like the lack of a fenced/off leash dog park in Astoria. Would not like the low availability of rentals that accept dogs over 25lbs or pets in general. "

"I work and live in Astoria and this is the most vibrant small town I have ever lived in. It has an amazing walkability. We moved here after living in Europe and choose Astoria as it is the closest to a European Village we could find anywhere in the US. The community is very involved and committed to making Astoria an even better place to live than it already is. Astoria supports a diverse group of individuals that happily co-exist as a community. We have a child who has gone through the local school system and we have been very happy with the class sizes, quality of education and opportunities available to Astoria students. As far as things to do, for a Village of 10,000 we are an amazing community. The Liberty Theater showcases plays, musicals and concerts of all types. The local Shanghaied in Astoria provides light hearted theater. Many bars, brew pubs and the Astoria Event Center showcase local, Portland and Seattle bands. The-20+ Cruise Ships that dock in town along with the river boats that are loaded with tourists help bring another dimension to this small community. There is the Sunday Market, the 2nd Saturday Evening Art Walk, the Thursday Organic market and the monthly antique/flea market. As far as things to do check out the Scandinavian Fest, The Crab Fest, The County Fair, The Brew Cup, The Fisher Poets, the Tenor Guitar Workshops, Goonies Day, Concerts in the park, the Summer Classical Music Festival, the Regatta week, the Fisherman Competition, fishing, hunting, hiking, the beach, great restaurants, shops and on and on and on. Sorry we don’t have any malls here. "
