**IMPORTANT PLEASE READ**I am extremely disappointed with Cross Oak Elementary School. My child attended this school since our neighborhood was first developed, but her last year there was a nightmare due to relentless bullying. She was physically and verbally assaulted repeatedly, yet the administration failed to take appropriate action.Despite my repeated efforts to address the issue, I was met with resistance and inaction. The administration handled the situation terribly, showing a complete lack of concern for my child's well-being. Not once did I receive a phone call, email, or message from the principal to acknowledge or ease my concerns. Instead, they denied the incidents ever took place—if I hadn’t kept records, they would have continued to brush everything under the rug.The principal and vice principal demonstrated unprofessionalism and an alarming disregard for student safety. Denton ISD claims to have an anti-bullying policy, yet my experience showed otherwise. In the end, I was left with no choice but to remove my daughter from the school for her own safety, fearing the situation would escalate further.I sincerely hope that no other family has to endure what we went through. Cross Oak Elementary and Denton ISD need to take bullying seriously and ensure a safe environment for all students.

This school has always been tough, but it feels like it’s getting worse by the day. Classes are out of control, students don’t respect teachers, and you can feel the burnout everywhere. I’ve already seen several teachers quit, and a lot more are saying they’re not coming back next year, which should be a huge red flag to anyone paying attention. Instead of fixing what’s clearly broken, the district seems more focused on fighting Prosper ISD over tax money, and it makes you wonder for what, because that money is just gonna be wasted and mismanaged by Denton ISD. At some point people are going to stop staying quiet, because this isn’t fair to the teachers who are trying, the students who actually want to learn, or the families who expect better.

Stay away from this school. I’m honestly just counting down the days until the year is over because I won’t be coming back. I’ve seen too many good teachers walk out, and it’s not hard to see why. The administration has no backbone when it comes to discipline, and instead of supporting staff, they turn it back on you and ask if you’re “building relationships.” How are you supposed to do that when you’re trying to start class and getting yelled at, cursed out, and even threatened? It makes no sense that they would rather lose teachers than hold students accountable. Something is seriously off with the leadership here, and until that changes, nothing else will. Honey, if you can't handle it, why make it worse for good teachers!
