Do you want to come home to a relaxing sanctuary where you can enjoy the year-round fabulous weather that Southern California has to offer? Do you work from home, or need a quiet office at home, that is not right in the thick of your house or requires you to sacrifice a bedroom? Do you want or like an open concept layout? If these things interest you, then this house is the place for you! Located at the very end of a dead-end street in a neighborhood that would make you feel as though you are living on a country lane, this house is just steps away from the village of La Mesa and Grossmont Center, and is only 15 minutes from downtown San Diego. The house is walking distance from shopping (Trader Joes is the closest grocery store!), restaurants, movies, trolly stops, and freeways. You will feel as though you are living out in the country while still having access to all the amenities that urban living has to offer. Ideal for an family that loves to spend time together and/or entertain guests, the house is centered around an expansive great room that encompasses a fully updated, modern chefs kitchen including farmhouse sink, soft close cabinetry, granite countertops, a wine fridge, a pantry, and modern appliances. Next to the kitchen is space for a family room sitting area. Large floor to ceiling windows, a large sliding glass door and two sets of skylights provide ample amounts of natural light and accentuate the already open and airy feeling. This open concept extends to a formal dining area and formal seating area or a play area for children. Have children and still want room for guests? The house has five bedrooms. The master bedroom is on the East side and has been updated to include recessed lighting and a sitting area. There are two large sliding glass doors that allow lots of natural light into the room. The master bathroom is equally grand and includes dual vanity sinks, a jetted bathtub, and a walk-in glass shower. There is an exterior access door to the master bath allowing easy bathroom access from the pool without dripping water through the rest of the home. The West side of the home has three bedrooms which share a Jack and Jill style bathroom. All rooms are spacious and easily fit queen size beds. The fourth bedroom, located adjacent to the master bedroom, is carpeted with it's own walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom and is perfect for a kids playroom or a young child's bedroom. In all, three of the five bedrooms can accommodate king size beds if desired and two bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. Walk out the front door and commute your 10 steps to work every morning! A newly finished space attached to the garage offers a perfect spot for a home office. The room easily has space for two full desks and plenty of storage. There is a closet, air conditioning and heating as well as two large windows for natural light with mountain views. The garage has indoor parking for two cars and a third car can be parked in the adjacent car port. The driveway is large and can easily accommodate up to six vehicles. The entire property is nicely landscaped with full irrigation (sprinkler system) and has lots of palm trees and Birds of Paradise around the pool to make it feel like a true oasis! Additionally, a natural gas hook-up is available for your grill, meaning you would never need to buy propane again. The house also boasts a large, fenced in lawn with a swing set. The entry to the house has a large patio and is a perfect spot for a few chairs to sit an watch the sunset over Cowels Mountain or enjoy an evening glass of wine as you watch your kids play on the grass. Or perhaps take an evening stroll through the neighborhood with your favorite beverage and link up with the many other families that live there. The property is entirely fenced in and is great for pets. Small to medium dogs and cats are ok, large dogs on a case-by-case basis will be considered. There is a fully concreted outdoor play area outside the master bedroom that is perfect for riding bikes, scooters, or playing in the sandbox. There is also a large enough space for a half basketball court (pole installed already). You could also create a second seating area and fire pit if desired. Lastly, the home has a 32 panel solar system to help offset the power costs. The whole house air-conditioning keeps the home cool in the summer and warm at night in the winter. Additionally, the home is wired for a whole-house alarm system with Cox, the lucky renter would need to activate their own account should they desire. Please contact owners to set up a private viewing! Please respect the privacy of the current renters and neighbors and do not drive into the driveway.
