We have two kids at Flynn and our experience has been overwhelmingly positive. What makes Flynn stand out isn’t just the Spanish immersion program, which has been incredible, but the strong, supportive community and the many ways the school goes above and beyond for its students.One of my children has an IEP, and I’ve felt so well-supported in ensuring they have what they need to thrive. The staff has been responsive and collaborative, and it’s clear they genuinely care about each child’s success. Flynn also has a lot of dedicated support staff, which makes a huge difference. From the resource teachers to the specialists, there’s a real team approach to making sure all students feel included and are set up to succeed.The school also prioritizes social and emotional learning. My older child has benefited from social skills groups and loves being part of the Pride Club, a space where students can feel supported and celebrated. Events like Field Day are highlights for both of my kids, bringing the whole school together for fun and connection.Flynn’s PTA is another major strength. Parents work hard to bring so much to the school, from cultural celebrations and teacher appreciation to community-building events like movie nights and coffee chats. The PTA also advocates for the school’s needs, which has led to improvements like clean water advocacy and tutoring programs.Flynn isn’t perfect, but the sense of community here is really special. If you’re looking for a school with a welcoming vibe, a commitment to inclusion, and a team of people ready to support every child, I’d definitely recommend taking a tour.
