They've been disappointing in handling any troubling situation a student might have. They have been horrible in resolving conflicts and would not hesitate to rush their management of any situation just to get it over with.

Oak middle school has an extraordinary group of caring teachers that both academically and socially help our kid and the school grow. They are super caring especially with onsite counselors to help the kids

Although I am recommending this school, I would like to state multiple things about this school that need fixing. Number one is that this school can sometimes be disorganized when It comes to changing class schedules and allowing the students to voice their concerns whether that be about dropping a class, switching classes, or trying to switch teachers for being a TA (Teachers aid). I had some issues with the TA part as I was not allowed to switch my teachers even though I had been requesting them since the year before, Only to find out that my teacher was supposed to email the person in charge, how was this supposed to be known if the counselor who knew about this had left without warning? Not even a new message or an email was sent to the students the previous counselor was in charge of. The students didn't even realize until the first day of school, odd... Apart from that when students were to "line up" to change their classes or at least try to have a conversation about the matter one of the deans of administration said something along the lines of "Is it worth waiting in line knowing your answer is going to be a no?" if they where to tell us that then why offer us a chance even to switch in the first place??? This may sound like a rant to some of you but this is an honest review of what some students had to go through within the span of two days, (myself included). Now is that to say that it is the fault of all the staff? No, most certainly not, although I am not blaming anyone in particular I will say that I wish those in charge specifically in the areas of handling schedules for students would do a better job, many students can agree that they feel like none of those in charge truly care about what the students feel best when it comes to their classes or do they feel like if their voices are even heard.. But other than this my experience here as a student over the years has been one of joy that I feel like only those who truly love teaching and care for the students, can fulfill. This and almost every teacher is good at teaching in their way, so if you feel like your child were to go to a high school where teaching is the main priority I would recommend tchs, just be aware of the cons that come with it.
