"It’s easy to catch a bus or drive into town. Bus run constantly and deep into the evening. Route 65 is less than a 2 minute drive from most homes "
  • Q.l.arrington
"My commute to downtown Pittsburgh is only about a 10 to 15 min drive. Public transportation is readily available though I don’t use it. "
  • Arabritchie
"This is a quiet neighborhood with friendly people, nice restaurants and clean walkways and well kept yards. "
  • Shea3412sc
"Great place for walking dogs and getting their exercise. Some above average traffic during work mornings and from 4-6pm so make sure you keep a leash on your dog. Other than that a great community for families."
  • Clis G.
"Quiet and mostly safe. Lots of nice people but a bit unsavory closer to “downtown Bellevue”. A bit conservative and unwelcoming in some areas. "
  • Bsaspe214
"Not really sure that there’s anything special about BellevueIt’s safe to walk at night not many restaurants around and the food is lameThe best thing about it is very quiet and less hoodlums running around"
  • Matthewemroz
"It can be a little unsafe at night. Kids can be sketchy and as lot of people own dogs that are scary at night, barking incessantly and squealing like they're getting beaten. "
  • Wallyjustice
"Small community that is close to the city and has everything you want is close. Crime is usually non violent. Mostly car breakins etc"
  • Marcus C.
"friendly neighborhood. Some new restaurants and shops opening up along with a local brewery. lived here 2 years now and loving it!"
  • Leah L. E. S.
"Bellvue is quiet and affordable while still being conveniently close to the city. You can be downtown within 10 minutes."
  • Leah L. E. S.
"quiet, yet close to the city. more affordable than several other neighborhoods. 10 minute drive to downtown"
  • avalon_nan
"I lived in Bellevue for over 20 years and moved away in 2013. In the past five years, there are increased home break-ins mostly due to heroin abuse in the area. The school district needs improvement. It seems as if singles or young couples buy a home here, and then when they have kids, they move to a better school district. And, the pollution is getting very bad. The coke plant and other factories downriver on Neville Island spew very toxic fumes all over Bellevue and Avalon. It worsens asthma and there really isn't any relief from the odor and the daily headaches. Because the EPA is moving slow on this, and because my home was burglarized and I no longer felt safe, I had to move. It was a great neighborhood for a while, though. Good walkability, easy commute to downtown, helpful (but overworked) police officers, and fairly quiet if you don't live near any rental properties. Parking is mostly on both sides of the street, so if you have more than one car, you might have problems finding a space. There are street sweeping days where you can hardly park anywhere without getting a ticket. "
