5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDrugs, sex, etc! I don’t know if it’s the high income area or the rise of social media (or both) but kids here have access to drugs at an absolutely alarming rate. If you have a child attending LPMS you better be talking to them about safe sex and the dangers of fentanyl. Something really really terrible is going to happen here -- it’s only a matter of time.Other Review10mo ago - Lewis-Palmer Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have only been here a few weeks, but have been communicating with the school well before we got here. I have kids with ADHD but they are not by any means disabled by it. My son gets emotional at times so I wanted to talk to his teacher before he started school so she knew how to handle him in the case that he did have an issue in class. I also like to have him with a nurturing female because he works best with them. Ms. Day was very accommodating to us. My son and two daughters are all at this school this year and doing wonderful. I don't see why people would be complaining. Homework is part of school and as you get older you should expect more. 1 hour per grade year if you are doing more than that then your child is struggling and you need to talk to the teachers.Parent Review6y ago - Palmer Ridge High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLPSD 38 and Palmer Ridge High School do a great job overall. The staff, teachers, and administrators are professional and work well with the students. -Curriculum. They offer a range of courses that satisfy the needs of students.-Post secondary preparedness. Excellent. The school helps young adults prepare for college AND they partner with Pike's Peak Community College to help students access career education while in high school. This is such an important offering because too many schools try to push every child into colleges (where they learn no skills and amass life changing debt) when they should instead be pursuing a career in the trades.-Extra-curricular activities. Top notch. The school supports their student athletes and has multiple programs that are very competitive in the state. The school board is run by competent people in the community who put the students first. This is a fine school as are all of the other schools in LPSD 38.Parent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 882 Naismith Ln.
