I have two kids at Carpenter, one going into 2nd and one going into K. Having been part of this school community for 3 years now gives me some perspective. I grew up in the local private school systems so I am able to make some comparison. I do really like this school and the parent and teacher community. It's engaging and very nurturing towards the kids. The parents are involved and that makes it feel almost like a private school. I like that the school is well-resourced and seems to constantly be doing this to improve.

La escuela cuenta con muchos recursos para el exito de nuestros hijos, clases AP, Dual, una gran variedad de clubs, muchisimos deportes y actividades extracurriculares, en fin de verdad es una excelente escuela.Los maestros excelentes en su mayoria y dispuestos a ayudar a todos los alumnos que se acercan a ellos.Todo el personal muy atento.Tuve una muy grata experiencia y la recomiendo ampliamente.Mis 2 hijas salieron con excelencia ya que tratamos de aprovechar al maximo las oportunidades que se les fueron presentando.

Revamped school as of 2023-2025. IB program and waitlisted. Best middle school in the district now and offers the most programs/sports.

I would like to start by saying that i have never taken the time to post a review about a school before. But with my personal experience in ward elementary i just had to. I lived in downey for 6 years but i had to move to another area, but let me tell you about a very special teacher Mrs Rippel, my son Damian adores her and misses her dearly, when he started school he didn't know how to write his name, how to behave in class, etc but she always had patience with him and encouraged him all the time and most importantly she believed in his capacity to learn. she is the BEST TEACHER any student would love to have and any parent would trust their child with. Mrs Rippel if you see this we love you your the best hope to one day see you again keep up the amazing job your doing take care god bless you. Overall i love this school so much they are very organized in everything they do and i recommend this school. Goooo Wildcats!!!
