The office staff has no idea what is happening and when they THINK they know, they only know a smidge of the story. Don’t dare ask to speak to the administration because they’re too busy laughing it up in doorways ignoring what’s happening in their front offices. This school is quick to ask their families to do a RAVE review, communicate unnecessary information, ask us to do ANOTHER survey, or mention their open door policy but the second you ask something of them, OH NO that is not their problem, it’s always another departments within CCSDs problem. God forbid the principal or assistant principals handle their schools disciplinary. That’s just a tad too much to handle. Unbelievable. I’d sign this a concerned parent but really I’m just a parent of kids trying to survive this ridiculous school.

I'm a current student of the class of 2024. I'm graduating this year, so I'm mainly leaving this as a warning. The school is questionable at best. Most of the teachers either don't care or don't know what they're doing; or both. The councilors don't care at all about the students; my own councilor has actively sabotaged me multiple times this year with the math class I was placed in. I requested multiple times to be transferred out, but was always given some poor excuse because that would mean he has to do work. And if your transferring here from another state, especially if you've already completed a few years of high school, get ready to suffer. The district has specific people to handle translating transcripts from other states, but the councilors will do it themselves and do it wrong, but then refuse to acknowledge the issue and correct it because there's certainly no way they could be wrong, right? My girlfriend (Also class of 2024) is one of these transferred students, and her credits are all sorts of messed up because of this. Her councilor won't do anything and the school social worker's answer to everything is "you should be happy with what you have." Another issue the school has is that the staff don't communicate with the principle and she has no clue what's going on in her school because of this. She's a good person and will actually try to help, but she doesn't know what's going on and people won't contact her because they think she's too high up the food chain, so to speak. And outside of the staff, the facilities are sub optimal. Sure, the CTE classes have decent equipment, but the rest of the school is in shambles more or less. The bathrooms are borderline unusable 90% of the time, and the cameras (particularly in the parking lot) are low quality and likely damaged in some way, so if something happens don't expect there to be footage for evidence.That being said, there are some plus sides. Some teachers, namely the Automotive teacher, woodshop teacher, multimedia teacher, the culinary teacher, and JROTC instructors do genuinely seem to care and will go out of their way to help students if they can. The only issue is they can't do very much. Even so, they're the only reason this school even gets a 2/5 for the teaching category. Overall, if you're going to school here or are going to go here in the future or you're a parent thinking about sending your student here, be cautious and don't expect any good results.

My grandson loves attending this school. He is happy. Jaxe looks forward to going to school everyday. I ask him about the staff and his teachers every year, there is always a positive response. He enjoys the after school sports he tries out for and succeed in being able to participate. He loves his coach.The only issue is that he already knows what he is being taught at different time during the school year. I know students are at different levels in their learning abilities. We are very happy with Kitty Ward Elementary.
