Kc has Its ups and downs. If a student is committed and hardworking, Central gives them a clear, challenging, rewarding path to success. It should be understood that a majority of low test scores stem from the high number of students from broken, impoverished family's, a result from the lack of development in the region; known for drugs and alcohol. It can be reasoned that these problems are less prevalent in local city schools. If a student is willing to take the advanced classes, extracurricular activities, and focus on success; the same things that apply to all schools, they will emerge well educated as well as prepared for life in the real world through college and beyond.

If you look at the test scores, it is easy to see that Lay is one of the leading schools in the county. Add to that the fact that there is heavy parent and teacher involvement in after school activities, and you have a wonderful school for your children to attend. My daughter is entering her second year there, and I couldn't be more pleased with my choice. They use ability grouping after kindergarten to help the students reach their fullest potential and encourage them to strive forward.
