Description

Cool Luxury Living at its best sums up the feeling one gets while being greeted by friendly concierges upon entering the ultra chic lobby of the Smyth Tribeca and using the key card to access the elevator to the private residences. Apartment 11S, is a gorgeous 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom Condo with over 1,500 square feet, and upon entering, one is immediately struck by the expansive corner Great Room comprised of a living room, dining room and open kitchen with walls of windows bringing in bright city views facing South, East and West, that are equally stunning day and night.
This unique layout of three distinct spaces as part of one vast space, equally lends itself to hosting large dinner parties or just hanging out. The comfortable corner living room has built-in bookshelves, and the separate windowed dining area is large enough for casual or formal meals, and can even be converted into a third bedroom, if desired. The beautifully designed Valcucine kitchen is equipped with top of the line stainless steel appliances, ebony-etched glass, a large, gorgeous marble topped island/breakfast bar, and a marble countertop that spans the entire length of the back wall which easily houses all accoutrements for the most discerning chef. The breakfast bar provides excellent storage cabinets and a wine fridge, and is illuminated by chic pendant lighting. The dishwasher is Bosch, and the cooktop and oven are both Miele. There is under- cabinet lighting and plenty of recessed lighting throughout the kitchen.
The primary bedroom has an iconic west facing city view which seamlessly blends Old World New York with Modern architecture. The oversized windows provide a lovely view over the Hudson and West Broadway split, where you can enjoy seeing New York City activity. There are two walls of custom fitted closets in the primary suite providing excellent storage. The primary en-suite windowed five fixture bathroom is spa-like, with sandblasted stone detail, a Duravit free-standing tub, double Duravit sinks with spacious vanities, a stall shower, radiant heated floor, and a Toto toilet. The second bedroom is a good size, with a beautiful western view facing the river, and a spacious custom fitted closet. The bathroom has a stunning large stall shower, oversized sink with plenty of storage in the vanity, radiant heated floors, and a frosted glass divider.
There are beautiful glossy maple hardwood floors throughout, 10' high ceilings, an LG washer/dryer, central AC, excellent storage and closet space, overhead lighting, and excellent light and views from every window.
Smyth Upstairs is an exclusive collection of 15 designer condominium homes set on top of the Smyth Tribeca hotel, where residents enjoy the best of both worlds – meeting your guests in the hotel's lobby and having some drinks in the bar before going up to your gorgeous apartment! "Dogs are welcomed everywhere there’s even a dog park not too far away. There’s also a few stores you can bring them in with you. Only bad thing is some people don’t pick up after their dogs and that’s gross. Oh and the dogs that meet on the street are usually pretty friendly with each other as well."

"Having lived elsewhere in Manhattan, I've fallen in love with Tribeca. It has everything I need, a great Whole foods to relieve me of my pay check and from what I have been told, an excellent elementary school. My condo is walking distance to work (FIDI) and is convenient to public transit. I live about 5 minutes from the esplanade along the Hudson...I just cross over at Murray and can go walk, sit in the park, or if I ever get up the nerve, play some basketball in all that green space and parks. Lots of restaurants, including 3 decent Irish pubs, also on Murray. It may not appeal to the younger, single folks but we do seem to have lots of young families in the area. NYC is a city of neighborhoods. Tribeca is a great one."

"I live here and work nearby. Agree with other reviewers that it is up and coming but not quite there. Its too quiet at night and the restaurant options, though fantastic are too slim! that being said, i love my building and how clean and safe the streets are. The opening of the Smyth Hotel and the W is encouraging."
