Description

This stunning loft, located in the Campbell Building is one of the most attractive deals to hit Tribeca in sometime. Priced for today's market, this 1,582sf 2BR/2Bath loft ignites with style as soon as you enter through a private key locked elevator. Retaining detail from the original construction dating back to 1915, this 5th floor home marries sleek modern sophistication with a nod to its historic roots. The kitchen, dining area and living room flow together in harmony as only true lofts can. Four huge windows in the front bathe the home in warm and illuminating light from the northeast. The kitchen is a work of art with an oversized Corian countertop, Boffi cabinets, vented Gaggenau stove, Subzero refrigerator and wine chiller. The primary bedroom receives substantial light from oversized south facing windows and sports al walk- in closet area, five-point primary bath with double vanity sinks, travertine floors, Zuma soaking tub and Duravit fixtures. Meticulous construction details, a separate laundry area, great storage space, a virtual doorman as well as low monthly charges all contribute in making this 5h floor loft a truly one of a kind offering. This home is located in prime Tribeca, arguably downtown's most stylish and hospitable neighborhood. Tribeca is the home to the city's most fabulous restaurants, boutiques big and small, bucolic parks and public spaces and great public schools. The continuing emergence of the Hudson River esplanade and the myriad of things it has to offer exemplify the absolute best in city planning await you at 148 Chambers. Be part of this incredible neighborhood and world class destination. Live in it and let it live in you!

"Dogs are welcomed everywhere there’s even a dog park not too far away. There’s also a few stores you can bring them in with you. Only bad thing is some people don’t pick up after their dogs and that’s gross. Oh and the dogs that meet on the street are usually pretty friendly with each other as well."

"Having lived elsewhere in Manhattan, I've fallen in love with Tribeca. It has everything I need, a great Whole foods to relieve me of my pay check and from what I have been told, an excellent elementary school. My condo is walking distance to work (FIDI) and is convenient to public transit. I live about 5 minutes from the esplanade along the Hudson...I just cross over at Murray and can go walk, sit in the park, or if I ever get up the nerve, play some basketball in all that green space and parks. Lots of restaurants, including 3 decent Irish pubs, also on Murray. It may not appeal to the younger, single folks but we do seem to have lots of young families in the area. NYC is a city of neighborhoods. Tribeca is a great one."

"I live here and work nearby. Agree with other reviewers that it is up and coming but not quite there. Its too quiet at night and the restaurant options, though fantastic are too slim! that being said, i love my building and how clean and safe the streets are. The opening of the Smyth Hotel and the W is encouraging."
