5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy second day of school for my special needs kid and I was running late because I didn't plan on the long red light. The assistant principal meets me out side in an abrasive and confrontational manner and threatens to take my son's "privelage" of having a RBT away. The principals I had a conversation and he scoffed at me when I said it was important for my son to have an RBT because my son can't communicate if he's hurt, where he's hurt, who hurt him, his name, or where he lives. my son can't tell someone he needs help and that to me hinders his ability to stay safe. The RBT is his advocate and helps his behavior so he can learn. And the principal scoffed at me. He also has lit me in saying that there aren't many schools that will allow my son to have a therapist that he needs. I know for a fact this is a lie. This is our SECOND day and I am disgusted with the way I've been treated in making sure my son is comfortable and safe within a new environment. Luckily he likes his class and his teachers but I have a problem with leadership that they can't give leniency to a special needs child on his second day of school. I filed a complaint and I have two different schools that I am communicating with.Parent Review1mo ago
