5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth my kids went to this school and every teacher they had was amazing, they always communicated with me and were on top of helping my younger one advance in reading. Any time there was a problem in school or on the bus the office staff was quick to remedy the problem. Everyone there was kind, patient, happy to be there and genuinely cared about the kids. I was also impressed with the office staff and principle, from what I could see they new ALL the kids by name (I volunteered at the school and was there for a couple of years quite often). I've heard from friends of some of the horror stories about the school their kids go to and the problems they are having and I'm shocked, I've only had wonderful experiences with Susitna. The learning scale I did mark average, because lets face it what kid wants to go to school (not many) and the special education I'm not sure at all, never interacted with that side of the school, but by judging the staff I can imagine they did great.Parent Review3y ago5 Reviews - Nicholas J. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has challenging behaviors such as play games on his chromebooks in classes, , but teachers are really wanting to help him, such as replying to my emails, pointing the works he needs to do . inform me his behaviors, giving us suggestions, or even give him extra credit if he does anything extra. School is located in very safe area with Fire station near by, police cars stand by etc. During this pandemic, my sons classes are open, so he has social interactions with other kids etc.One thing do bother me is that he can play online games on school issued chromebook, but I do not believe Begich can do anything.Parent Review4y ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near 8142 E 32nd Ave #A.

"We have lived in this neighborhood for 39 years! We raised our four children here and three of our grandchildren were raised a mile from us. It is still a safe neighborhood but one has to be aware of moose and black bears that roam the streets."

"Lived here for 11 years. People are bad about picking up after their dogs and they always seem to lose their dogs... it’s like they don’t believe in fences. Mormons also knock a lot on doors. "

"You see people walking dogs all the time, practically every morning, afternoon, and night. Many of my neighbors and even myself own a dog and it’s a wonderful area for dog walks especially with Campbell creek nearby."

"Lived here for 13 years and love that the Chugach forest backs up to my neighborhood. I see moose, bear, wolves, lynx, porcupine, bald eagles and more on a regular basis when on walks with my dog. "

"Moved to Ambler Circle in 2008. It's a wonderful cup-de-sac neighborhood that's just off the beaten path. Close to shopping and Kaladi, close to elementary school (Scenic View), and very friendly and quiet."

"I live here and have enjoyed a close neighborhood, mixed ages, families with children, singles and retired. I have never had the least concern regarding safety, know my neighbors and socialize with them. People watch out for each other, visit. Focus on gardens and taking care of yards, homes. Great place to live!"

"This quiet condo community in East Anchorage provides easy access to the entire city. A beautiful view of the mountains and nearby Cheney Park are added bonuses!"

"I live here. This is a great neighborhood. I live on a cul-de-sac, so traffic is limited (which is great), but in general traffic if fairly slow. It is a short drive to nearly everything in town. There is a big park across the street, great for walking dogs and seeing the occasional moose. It has a big field for frisbee playing or picnics. The neighborhood is a short 5 minutes to the Far North Bicentennial Park with its miles of trails. It a quiet, mellow, established neighborhood. "
