Description

Amazing log cabin home with tranquil mountain and valley views. What do Oprah, Bill Gates, Muhammad Ali, and the Queen of England have in common? A log home! Beautifully crafted and constructed, this custom-built log home is on the market for the first time. The log home sits atop a picturesque 7.4 acre site with expansive views of majestic mountainous scenery. Located in the town of Warwick, only 2 miles from the village of Warwick, the home and property are accessed via a private drive off of a quiet country road. With over 2600 square feet of finished living space, 4 bedroom, 3 full baths, 4 wraparound porches and a 2 car garage, this comfortable and functional home truly has it all. The living room has the feel of a mountain lodge with vaulted ceilings and an impressive wood burning stove. The open country kitchen features an abundance of counter space, a bay window, a large pantry, updated appliances and a large dining area with beautiful views. The primary bedroom upstairs is also adorned with a large bay window overlooking the woods, an abundance of closet space and an en-suite bathroom. Just past the kitchen a hallway leads to an additional log structure that was added in 1990. This amazing addition offers additional living space, office/bedroom, sun room/game room, full bath and a second woodstove. A large deck with sitting areas, a fire pit, and a hot tub for ultimate relaxation bring it all together. All in all, this home offers over 4900 square feet of total constructed area. Tap into the potential of your new home by finishing some or all of the 1800 sf basement and over 500 SF of unfinished space in the detached twocar garage. The 2 air-tight wood stoves work with the oil-fired, hotwater baseboard heaters, the hot water solar system and the natural insulating qualities of the Northern White Pine logs to keep utility costs to a minimum yearround. There is a private well, whole house waterfiltration system and a rain water collection system for plant watering. The over 7 acres of grounds offer year-long outdoor recreation right outside your door. Located about an hour from NYC, the village of Warwick is as charming a town as they come, where hiking, breweries, cider houses, wineries and restaurants abound.

"Warwick is a lovely town. Not very diverse in terms is minorities. I saw that as an Asian American woman in my 20s. I grew up in Westchester so I'm used that but I also love horses and country esque scenery. And I love that the town is walkable and cute and I feel safe at night when I need to walk my dogs alone. Wealthy older Town for sure but it's not like Greenwich CT or Chappaqua NY or etc. Gem on its own right. "
  • Trulia User
