This school is still geared toward Hispanics. My student's teacher is intentionally allowing him to fail while supporting the other children in the class. The teacher will allow the other children to redo work for a better score while giving my student no feedback at all and recording his low scores. All this even after I reached out to both teachers making them aware that I am an active parent and want to be kept abreast of my student's shortfalls. Nothing. No communication from any teacher unless I call the school and complain. Now I have to remove my student and teacher them from home, only because this public school in Dallas ISD cannot be trusted to educate children equitably. Also, they don't know how to communicate with the parents of new students, because having new students, in a public school, in a state that is experiencing growth, is a foreign concept to them.

My son has been in constant danger since going to this school. The fighting is off the charts as they have social media pages dedicated to the fighting at spruce high school. They don't contact the parents when this happens unless they are sending them home. Strongly don't recommend sending our youth to this school.

Horrible! My son is suspended for things all of the other "kids" are doing up there anyway. It feels that the staff is tired and just has given up! They didn't even stop 4 girls cussing each other out this morning while the assistant principal just walked by. Never before have I felt so strongly against a school and their "system". I understand this is a "DISD" school but this is the worst I've even seen. We are actively looking for a way out even if it ends up being home school.
