7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had a great experience with Nyack High School. My son has challenged himself to do better each year. Loves history and the many wonderful teachers who helped him along the way. He has decided to major in engineering for college. He followed the STEM program with engineering in mind and is looking at Penn State or UConn. The community hs been wonderful and supportive. My negative is the fencing team could use some more funding so other students can get involved and make equipment readily accessible.Parent Review1y ago5 Reviews - Upper Nyack School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAbsolutely best experience ever with a school. The staff and administration are second to none and my children were loved, cared for, and educated! Would do whatever it takes to keep my kids in this school if we had to move.Parent Review5y ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near 8 2nd Ave.

"Nyack is a great river town, with shops, restaurants, parks and more! It’s a close drive to NYC, westchester and NJ. More importantly it’s safe, eclectic and full of charm. Great place for young professionals, families and everyone in between."

"There are a lot of other fellow dog owners in this area. Very quiet my only complaint would be that there is not a sidewalk and the roads aren’t that wide. So it could be dangerous "

"You can watch 4th of July fireworks from the park, we have a Halloween parade and we have street fairs several times a year. Lots of people come to town on the weekends to shop, eat and walk around Main Street. I’ve also seen tours that show you the outside of historic homes."

"Great village life with communities and neighborhoods throughout. Tons, tons, tons of places to walk to: restaurants, yoga, shops, therapy if you need it! Beautiful river views with well kept parks (the main park on the river includes a skate park and water section during the summer time). Pizza till 2am on the weekends, pretty sure this is the only town in all of rockland that can say that. There is a small art scene that is nice to tap into. Vegetarian and vegan restaurants in the area. "

"It’s a walking town! But still feels like city living on a smaller scale, and it is very artsy, creative and friendly. There’s always something fun going on. A parade, a streetfair. A movie or tv show filming. Restaurant week... dancing at one of the restaurants. People sitting outside drinking coffee. People watching. I love it..."
