I get bullied every day in every class, and I have a target on my back. I don't feel safe here, you can't go to the bathroom without getting high

I have attended Two Roads Charter School since 6th grade and am now a senior. I’ve been here long enough to see significant changes over the years.In my experience, the curriculum in the high school grades has become far too basic. Classes often cover material that feels more appropriate for much younger students (elementary/middle school level), which leaves high schoolers under-challenged and unprepared for the real world—whether that’s college coursework, trade skills, independent living, or basic problem-solving. Multiple teachers have openly expressed to students that they don’t fully understand the purpose or rigor behind the assigned curriculum they’re required to teach.This shift, which I attribute largely to decisions under Principal Wendy Noel’s leadership, has contributed to declining academic rigor and, for many students including myself, frustration and disengagement. While the school may still work well for elementary students or those needing a very flexible, low-pressure environment, it falls short for families seeking strong college prep, real-world readiness, or athletic/extracurricular depth.I regret staying all these years and strongly encourage parents to explore other options in the Jeffco area. Visit in person, talk to current high school students and recent graduates, review recent test scores and college outcomes, and compare carefully before enrolling. Two Roads was once a stronger fit for me, but it no longer feels like the right choice for serious high school academics.
