5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is very good. It's not to big and the teachers are for the most part good. They need to up their game on swearing and bullying. Last year and this year over 5 fights have broken out between these two school years and no teachers stepped in, even when the fights were right outside their classrooms. In the hallway, people say the n word and the f-slur wayyy too often.Student Review1y ago8 Reviews - Hillview Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePoor. If you are interested in keeping up with the jones' than this school is for you. If you want teachers to join in your support of raising respectful young adults than perhaps another district is for you. The teachers have no control over the students. A friends son got mouthy with a teacher, the teacher called the parents and the parents asked why they couldn't send the child to the principal or dentition. The teacher told the parents that they have to make so many attempts before ever sending a kid to the office. They would be in trouble for just sending a child down. I cannot understand this for the life of me. Lancaster will NOT fail a student. THREE teachers at 2 different Lancaster schools have privately admitted this to me. a grade of 42 magically becomes a 65 on paper. Its all about looking great as a district. "We" strive to have the best of everything and to BE the best at everything. I feel that my graduating class was among the last to come out of Lancaster to have morals and a work ethic.Parent Review8y ago9 Reviews - William Street School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a very good school. The building is 20 years old (a baby compared to almost every other school in the area) and is well designed and clean. Even though it has a big population, the teachers all work well with students as individuals and other teachers in the building know many of the other students, even if they're not in their class. The administrative team is fantastic, very visible and involved in all affairs of the school. The kids seem quite happy to be here and for good reason.Other Review11y ago3 Reviews - Check out schools near 76 Freeman Rd.

"It is famous for safety, family life, and schooling. People are nice. Pretty walkable. I go out with family for trick and treating, and to the nearby park. I think there should be more parks and playgrounds. "

"There are a few parks near us, so it’s really nice to go on a run, walk our dog, have a picnic with friends or just take out the kids to play. There’s not necessary a lot of community events. "

"Good schools The nys troopers are the local police force and are present and accountable. I don’t have kids but I know some children in the school district from Kindergarten To HS. Their parents are pleased with the curriculum, the sports and the influence school has on their children."

"People are kinda snooty but it’s safe. My dog (a pit) gets comments even when he’s the best behaved. Is what it is... still very dog friendly. Same goes when I let my kid ride his mini bike. Then again maybe it’s because I’m a biker... probably my fault. This neighborhood looks down on me. But the schools are great for my babies and it’s an amazing place to raise a family. Snooty people will be who they are... is what is. I know I talk uneducated but I do have 14 years of higher education 🤷🏻♂️. In all I’d definitely recommend this neighborhood to any family. "

"Have been visiting & looking at houses since Spring. The sidewalks do not extend throughout the entire development. Cookie cutter houses & several have clearly dated design with single steps up/down into rooms. The kids are cliquish and the schools are good but lack diversity & they teach completely to standardized tests. There is little to no instructional innovation in the middle and high schools as the curriculum is geared to passing the standardized tests & Regents Exam I am disappointed in the schools' lack of vision, innovation and social programs to include all students in student life"
