About this House

This house was originally built in the 1920's, and is on one of the most convenient streets in Burlingame. If you look at maps, you'll see that Farringdon Lane isn't a through street from anywhere to anywhere so there is essentially NO through traffic. You also only have side neighbors (because the lot goes through to both streets). The neighborhood is excellent, and you are only a couple of blocks to the amazing shops and restaurants of downtown Burlingame. It takes between 4 and 10 minutes to walk, depending how slow a walker you are. You are about 2 blocks from El Camino, but the best part of the location is the closeness to two Caltrain stations (you could walk to either) and you are located just off one of the few streets that crosses the railroad tracks, so you can easily jump over to get on 101 if car commuting is your thing. The house is far enough from El Camino and the train to be SUPER quiet, but close enough to be convenient. Plus, this location in Burlingame makes it an easy commute to San Francisco, and you are close to Silicon Valley as well. Not to mention it is two blocks to McKinley School! Basically a perfect WFH house as well as easy to deal with an RTO commute if you have one!

You'll see in the pictures that this house has a gorgeous front living room area. The way the dining room opens up into the living room really makes for a nice family space. The full picture rail and tons of crown molding and classy architectural details are some of those things they just never seem to include on newer homes. This house has all kinds of nice details like that. Hardwood floors (which were just FULLY refinished in July of 2025) throughout the whole house, vintage iron clawfoot tub, porcelain switch covers, etc. When we renovated it, we tried to keep as many of the original touches as we could, and hopefully it shows. This house (within the last year) has gotten many updates, like a brand new high efficiency furnace, a new foam roof (cool in the summer, warm in the winter), all new (2025) interior paint, refinished hardwood floors, and new window coverings. There's even a brand new Liebherr Fridge. The kitchen is really the heart of the house, and it opens on to the formal dining room, as well as has a door (with screen door if you like a nice summer breeze) to the fenced in garden in the back. The kitchen features a nice gas 5 burner Range, new (last year) Liebherr fridge, and Bosch Dishwasher (the super quiet one with three racks in it), as well as a stainless sink, with a garbage disposal. The house is also pre-wired for both ATT and Sonic fiber. So you can get symmetric (up and down) speeds for a great deal. Look up sonic fiber. GREAT deal and makes WFH super easy.

This house features two nice-sized bedrooms (as in you could actually fit a big bed in them), both of which have views of the back yard and good light. The master bedroom has its own en-suite full bathroom (tub and shower) and there's also a bathroom with a clawfoot tub in the hall. There's also INCLUDED laundry (Bosch washer and dryer) inside the house.

This house also has amazing gardens. The front yard is gorgeous with mature trees and tons of flowers, roses and sculpted bushes. The back yard three fruit trees (A nice plum, which makes DELICIOUS plums, a blood orange, and a lime tree), lots of flowers, and a shaded patio/pergola area. There is a long driveway next to the house to park if needed. And there's a beautiful lush lawn!
