"A lot of good parks in the neighborhood, excellent schools at all levels, and good sports fields for rec sports "
  • Trulia User
"I lived in this neighborhood for 2 years. It’s got a lot going on. Butts up against Green Lake Park, has plenty to restaurants that are walkable, and a decent nightlife on 45th"
  • Trulia User
"This neighborhood has access to restaurants, greenlake, gasworks and the burke Gilman trail. Most parts are quiet.."
  • Cay L.
"Lots of dog walking done in the neighborhood but you have to be careful of the bigger intersections "
  • Caguilar726
"There’s poop bag stations located on the streets in case you forget yours or need another one. There are some patchy grass area but wish there could be more for dogs to use the restroom. That might be strategic. "
  • Emily S.
"Seattle’s funky neighborhood close to the city but far enough from downtown that it can still feel calm. Neighbors are nice and helpful, great place to live!"
  • Claire W.
"Too far. I have a either wait to get on the 5 or take the toll tunnel. I hate it. I work in Rainier so it seems like I’m always hitting traffic at the wrong time as well. "
  • Lauren M.
"The unique people and locally run restaurants and shops. Still a neighborhood that is keeping the heart beat of seattle alone. "
  • Rebecca L.
"Easy 2 minute walk to a bus then a 10-15 minute bus ride to my office downtown. If I get a ride there can be traffic on Aurora, but it only adds a few minutes. "
  • Crissmansara
"There is a big Solstice parade in the summertime filled with naked bike riders and floats through the streets. There are also many art installations throughout the neighborhood including the troll under the bridge, dinosaur hedges, the statue of Lenin, the spaceship and big Saturn. The list goes on. I love how close Fremont is to the canal trails and Gas Works park."
  • Char
"You can go out any day of the week and there's generally always something going on. it's a neighborhood filled w/20 something's to early 40's, don't see a lot of kids but I'm sure they're around and that the future will bring even more. "
  • Cay L.
"Very close to a dog park! Lots of shady sidewalks for easy dog walking and dog friendly stores and restaurants"
  • Mymahanacct
"None. We meet at terrific market Marketime and cafes. The only community center is green lake and you don’t really meet people much there. It’s crowded. There is good turnout for Woodland park sports... not much else"
  • Sara C.
"Naked Bike Ride! Statue of Lenin. The Fremont Troll. Oktoberfest. I love living by the Burke Gilman trail as well. The proximity to Gas Works Park is also a huge plus."
  • Cclomen
"Along my block we always either wave hello if not say hello which is a welcome & appreciative thing since previously I lived in an area where no one knew their neighbor nor even really made eye contact with one another at the very least, which always felt silly to me. Also, everyone knows eachother's pets so if one of them happens to escape... they never get very far before they're seen by someone on the block and brought home in generally a quick enough lapse of time that the owner hasn't even noticed their absence yet! "
  • Andrialsvgs
"there is a larger homeless population in the area currently in 2018 its not unusual to see camps, tents or RVs right now in certain areas"
  • Bunandalex
"I work in the neighbourhood, so my commute is incredible. Public transit in Fremont is easily accessible and quite reliable. "
  • Sarah
"It’s right in the heart of the city. Really good restaurants and bars within walking distance. It’s central to all neighborhoods making it easy to get around with or without a car. It’s right off lake union and close to gas works park. It also the Sunday Fremont farmers market within walking distance. It’s where the Solstice parade is held every June. "
  • Seard2002
"the people are very nice and accepting, and there are always hella doggos everywhere, and fred meyer is at the bottom of the hills in easy walk distance "
  • Tamitran_99
"It's so convenient to walk, catch a bus or drive to downtown. It's the best between residential and urban living."
  • Seard2002
"everyone knows everyone, the sunsets you can see from Fremont peak park are absolutely breath taking, alot of cute pets that roam around too"
