9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageum its okay i guess. The neutral bathroom was vandalized with anti-racial comments and symbols and the administration did nothing about it but paint over it. You can still see some messages which shows that they don't care. No announcement or anything. There are expose pipes in that bathrooms as well and its overall just disgusting . Imagine a new student coming and seeing that. They wouldn't feel welcomed or safe at all.Parent Review1y ago - Almond Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageParent of a second year child. Seriously regret we didn’t pull our kiddo out - we thought it was the adaptation, but after spending more time talking to teachers we realize they are just unfit for their jobs. The math teacher is telling kids “they are not built for this” yet fails to explain the basic concepts properly. All English teachers are substitute, students barely right anything at all. French 2 is still reviewing last year (it’s February).Parent Review1mo ago - Check out schools near 73 S El Monte Ave.

What Locals Say about Los Altos

"This is the ideal neighborhood that is safe, and very much like at the 1950's feel with the charm but updated wonderfully. Grew up here and still the same. Pricey but a place to call home!"
- Reinhardt Q.

"Great place to walk dogs - wide, lightly traveled streets. Many have no sidewalks, making lots of planting areas that make cleanup so much easier. Relatively few lawns. "

"Great neighborhood. Lived here for 18 years. Raised 2 kids at local public schools. We can walk to downtown. "

"Drive mostly in order to visit from place to place — better and arguably easier to have a car. Would say that it feels very suburban."

Excellent schools, fun activities for the family(movie nights in the park, Pets parade, light parade, wine and art festival with children activities, farmers market, Easter egg hunt) to just name a few! "I grew up in Los Altos, it’s still a great town, but it’s definitely changed. At times, I wish the pendulum could swing back to when things weren’t so stressful!! When I grew up here, we’d play outdoors and with all our neighbors!! I hardly know our neighbors, I’ve attempted to get to know them, but they pretty much stick to themselves!! "

"I am originally from Paris and have lived in this neighborhood for 17 years. My family and I love it. Now that the kids are going to college we thought of leaving the area because it’s quite expensive but it is also very safe, the weather is amazing and the community is very nice. Plus there’re lots of natural preserves and the sea close by as well as everything you need in the towns and city. Business is booming in the Silicon Valley... makes it tough to leave!"
