6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m disappointed with my experience at Tacoma Elementary School this year. My son has attended for three years, but during his second-grade year, I’ve noticed concerning behavior from both his classroom teacher and dance teacher. There have been moments where my son felt singled out and antagonized, which has affected him emotionally. As a parent, I also feel disrespected and, at times, discriminated against in how concerns were handled. I hope the school takes these issues seriously and works toward creating a more supportive and respectful environment for all students and families.Parent Review2mo ago13 Reviews - Coolidge High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePrimary concern: SAFETY!!!!… Teachers don’t come to work and the students are pretty much left to do whatever they want on most school days. When a parent calls to complain, the staff argues with the parents in an attempt to dispute and invalidate the complaint. School-wide discipline polices are found to be inconsistent since they are not enforced.Parent Review4y ago1 Reviews - Ida B. Wells Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe dedication of the admin staff and teachers is reflected in the students excitement for learning and attending school. My child went from hating school to loving it. Her confidence has skyrocketed. Her motivation to do well in her classes has improved significantly. She talks about college and her future more. She's a part of the junior honors society and volunteers with her teachers and with higher achievement. I know the environment at this school has played a significant role in her turnaround. Parent engagement is also very high here.Parent Review11mo ago1 Reviews - Check out schools near 7008 Eastern Ave NW.

"Old town feel, walkable community and very diverse people and food. The focus on art of all forms is wonderful. My favorite place to live, but Sad to say single family houses are unaffordable . "

"Lots of other dog walkers and mostly people are very friendly with dogs. Great pet store and pet-friendly bar! But often chicken bones on the ground, and no easily walkable dog park."
