About this House
Beautiful 1920s Spanish Colonial Revival West University home refurbished in 2020 and steps from The University of Arizona (UofA) campus. The home has a very clean, almost Scandinavian looking interior with 3 bedrooms and one bathroom with tub/shower combination. Recently redone, beautiful hardwood floors throughout and clean white walls. The house sits one block from Euclid and Speedway on the Southeast corner of 1st Street and 1st Avenue, and is a ridiculously short walk to campus and the other amenities available on University Boulevard including locally owned and loved Time Market and the University's Main Gate Square. Character is everywhere is this home, including a front porch and a beautifully bricked in private backyard full of desert plant life and shaded by a large deciduous hackberry tree that provides shade in the summer and clear skies to gaze at in the winter. The neighbor to the South is a Post Office Museum only open during business hours. The garage is used by my family for storage and is unfortunately not included in the rented/rentable space. Off-street driveway parking for at least 2 cars and the opportunity to apply for street parking through local government. One bedroom is quite large and fits a king size bed, two large dressers, bookcases, and other furniture. The other bedrooms are somewhat smaller but have room for queen beds and all have closets, of course. One or both of the smaller bedrooms could be used as home offices. Window treatments include well maintained blinds and roman shades throughout. This is my family's home in which we have massive pride of ownership, which we would expect of our tenant(s). The home includes a small kitchen and mudroom with a fridge, an adorable refurbished apartment-sized O'Keefe and Merritt stove, dishwasher, and stacked washer and dryer. The true star of the home is the nature that surrounds it and the gorgeously appointed outside spaces that I, the current tenant, use all the time. Pictures show the home furnished with my belongings but it will be rented as a clean slate with no furniture, unless interested tenants would like to negotiate the use of some of the furniture. There is a working fireplace in the living room, central air conditioning and central gas heat. Quarterly landscaping is included in the rent but the expectation is that the tenant will take care of and be a steward of both the inside and outside of the space. This is my family's home and we are looking for someone to treat as if it were their family's home. The home will be available for move-in on Saturday, September 7th, although this is negotiable depending on the renter's needs. If you are interested, please do not stop by, kindly let us know online and we will send you an application or accept those off Zillow. Unfortunately, we cannot allow any pets. Year lease w/ options to discuss. I work from home and am able to show the place at most times and dates.
Move in date of Saturday 9/7/24, although negotiable depending on renter's needs.
1 year lease w/ options to discuss.
Security deposit of one month's rent to be returned at end of lease, assuming no damage is done to house.
Quarterly landscaping, although renter is expected to keep things looking nice in between.
Owner pays for water, sewer, and trash (City of Tucson Utilities.)
Renter pays for gas, electricity, wifi and/or cable.
Strictly no smoking inside the home allowed.
Unfortunately, no pets allowed.
Willing to negotiate renter's use of existing furniture, the rest will go into storage.
