Prepare to be wowed by this rare, luxurious, xxx mint, move-in ready, Penthouse apartment with one bedroom, two bathrooms, home office, open kitchen, laundry room, and enormous landscaped outdoor space located in one of Dumbo's finest, 70 Washington Street Condominiums!
Upon entering the gracious and separate foyer, one is immediately struck by the high 11' ceilings, open city views and abundance of natural light.
The stunning chef's kitchen, with top of the line appliances such as Sub-Zero and Thermador, flows seamlessly with the living and dining areas of the apartment. The oversized peninsula has marble counters and enough space for five or more stools. There are also newly installed floating shelves and storage drawers in the kitchen cabinets and pantry.

The new irrigation system makes it easy for plant lovers without "green thumbs" to keep the deck blooming.
The bright primary bedroom has oversized windows with open views that also look over the apartment's terrace bringing in sky, light, and greenery. There is a four piece, spa-like, en-suite bath with high end finishes and new chandelier.
Enjoy making use of the large interior bonus room that is ideal for a home office, den, or guest room. The transom window brings additional light into the room. The second full bathroom is perfectly placed off the foyer and across from the home office. The laundry room is huge and has been fitted with plenty of storage and shelving. All closets are outfitted with Elfa storage units.
70 Washington Street is a full service building with 24 hour doormen, concierge, and resident manager. There is a newly renovated gym, large roof deck, and package room. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf I had the choice, I wouldn't have ever attended this school. It looks decent at a glance but that's really all it is: decent. The school has what it takes for you to have a mediocre high school experience so if you want to just cruise through high school, this school is fine. But if you're looking to actually enjoy your experience and/or challenge yourself, this is not the choice for you. Starting with the good, the school has some programs like a STEAM program that allows you to gain college credits as well as college now classes. It also has summer bridge in which you take earth science and your language class. Handful of decent teachers. 1st, the school is located in a building that was meant to be a factory so there're a bunch of weird columns and exposed piping on the ceiling in basically every room that students and teachers have to maneuver around. The AC is terribly noisy, so much so that teachers would have to turn it off during presentations. No auditorium (meetings are in the caferteria) and no field (anything that can be is in the gym, which isn't really a gym either, and everything else is at neighboring parks)2nd, the education you're getting is average. Some teachers don't know how to teach. One of the teachers was complained about by other students. We'd go through some absolutely useless exercises throughout the school year which were at best, annoying, and at worst, a waste of time. Other teachers were cited as unreasonably harsh and strict and one was also accused of being racist. And lastly, some teachers were just lazy, only showing videos and not actually teaching. Also from what I heard, quite a few of the actually good teachers left.3rd, very few valuable extracurriculars. I can count the amount of clubs on 2 hands. Very low student morale, nobody really attends. Not a lot of options sports-wise either, one sport per gender per season.Overall not a great school. Consider the other options you have before choosing to go to this school, it really isnt great.Other Review8mo ago - Ps 307 Daniel Hale Williams

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child has attended this school since 3k , he's now in pre k and I've seen a tremendous growth in him. He exhibits more discipline and more understanding for social rules in bigger environments. Staff has been very helpful and friendly. I've always received daily updates on what my child is learning via classdojo and while most schools still followed a strict covid procedure, this school did their best to safely include parents in their child's learning experience. The school is diverse in ethnicity as well, which is important in NYC.Parent Review1y ago - Dock Street School for STEM Studies

"I’ve lived in Dumbo since 1994, I don’t mind the changes, development or tourists... it’s what I love about this city, forever changing, moving and growing. At least we don’t have packs of wild dogs running around like we did in the 90’s "

"I’ve lived in DUMBO/Vinegar Hill for 1 year. It’s my favorite neighborhood in Brooklyn. If you have young kids there are a lot of options for areas for them to play both indoors and outdoors. In the last year there has been an abundance of restaurants and shops opened. It’s a great community."

"Great urban area with waterfront, shopping, and the arts. Very walkable. But a $19,000,000 penthouse doesn't belong here. Anyone with that money is looking to buy in Manhattan."
- hgintis

"I go out every morning and get a bagel and New York Times. There is a tailor, a hardware store, five small/medium markets, and several restaurants within two block. Pedro's, a Mexican/Latino place right near us serves great food. The Dumbo Kitchen has healthy fare (and tempting pastries). I often sit there all afternoon working. The F train is half a block away."
