7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat School. Very active teachers. Many extra-curricular activities. The principal is very engaged. I left Boston Public Schools and my kids are improving a lot. Special Educations has a great team and my family are benefiting a lot from their knowledge and care. I am very satisfied and I strongly disagree with the score of 6/10 given by Great Schools website. A score of 9/10 would be more appropriate.Parent Review7y ago6 Reviews - Wm H Galvin Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI really love this school but mainly because I know everyone. The teachers are alright, not that different. The principal is always in funny mood and makes the learning atmosphere great! The assistant principal in the other hand, Mr.Walsh is always in a angry mood and many people are scared of him. If someone does something bad, he gives you a very harsh punishment. Also the teachers yell at you. They are never in a good mood. You get a lot of homework and tests and quizzes. Plus there are very short lunches. The students are okay but if you are not popular you won't find any one to hang out with. Many people came as new students here and they hated going to this school because they were not popular. Students will have hard times to make friends and since the academic level is higher you will see a drop in students grades. As you see the MCAS avarages for this school is 75%. That is horrible.Other Review15y ago2 Reviews - Check out schools near 7 Pine St #7.

"We are an over 55 community so few children have ever lived here. We don’t have young families living here either. "

"I have lived in Canton for nearly 10 years and have enjoyed it immensely. I love the small town feel and the friendliness of the neighbors. There are great shops and restaurants in the center of town which is walkable to where I live. There are a lot of pretty ponds and walking trails and I feel safe at night. The is no place I’d rather live."

"I used to take the train everyday to Boston on the rain and would only take 20 mins to south station. Canton center has many bars and restaurants! Easy to highway, and in a tri- town area with never fast food and grocery stores and gas stations and fast food."

"I’ve lived in Canton since 1997. I love the feel of the country yet the proximity to shopping malls, highways and Boston. Canton has a great community spirit, the schools are excellent and there are plenty of after school programs for children to join. "

"Canton is a great community with plenty of after school activities, sports teams, parks and local summer camps. The teachers are heavily vested in the community and there are opportunities and programs for children at all levels."

"Having Blue Hills as well as several great parks makes Canton a great place to raise your family. Canton is also known for its youth hockey, baseball, football and soccer programs and teams. Arts and theatre programs are also available. The annual 4th of July fireworks and block party are always fun."
