We love this school! My oldest son attended for two years and my younger son is in his first year. They have both thrived in the Montessori environment. The Kindergarten program was very special. My son had 9 children in his class with two head teachers. In addition to the basics (language, math), they have a weekly art history lesson (with an art project), science, and geography. We also loved the afternoon Enrichment Program for the younger children. The kids do amazing craft projects, yoga, science projects and weekly baking projects (as well as just play both indoors and out). It is a great program for working parents because it stays open until 6:00 pm. We also used the early morning program which allows you to drop off your kids at 7:30 am. We have developed some great friendships with the parents of our kids classmates and continue to have regular Kindergarten reunions. I found some of the Montessori schools had a really hands off approach even when a child was hurt or just scared to leave his/her parents. Blue Hill Montessori is the best of both worlds a great Montessori education in an environment where your child will be comforted if they need it.

Outstanding school community! The teachers are caring and so devoted to the students they teach.

This school has been deteriorating since Debba Palma took over as principal. The school has no orientation, they are loosing staff that they don’t replace. The shrinking class sizes is very concerning. Our kids were never prepared to a regular school system once they left thatcher. A total loss of a school, the commonwealth should retrieve their certifications. Be aware and stay away, for the sake of your children.
