Description

This oversized bilevel in a preferred section of Randolph has one of the largest corner lots, about 3/4 acre. The backyard is great for children with a HEATED above ground pool with slide, castle playset with swings, and plenty of room for volleyball or any other fun outdoor activity. The house has a 3 level deck, including the lower deck with a roof to keep dry on rainy days. Natural gas available on the top deck for BBQ. Three sides of the house is wrapped in aluminum siding, with the front split with vinyl siding and stone face. Roof was redone in April 2018 with a 30 year GAF warranty. The driveway was just recoated in 2018 with 4 year warranty. Enough space to park 6 cars, and 2 in the oversized garage with still plenty of room. There's a thermostatic gas heater in the garage too.
The inside has many renovations. Enter the front door, and steps split to upstairs and downstairs. Upstairs opens to 11.5' cathedral ceilings with 2 skylights in living room and 1 skylight in kitchen. All skylights can open by remote control and have dual shades to blackout. Dining room has French doors that open to 16 x 20 top cedar deck. Custom table on deck can seat 14 people easily. Living room has oversized bay window with lighting. Gas fireplace is great for ambiance or alternative heating with LCD TV hookup above it, and 5.1 surround sound built into the walls and ceiling. Lights in Living room, foyer, hallway, porch, and landscaping lights can be controlled by Alexa. Kitchen is completely renovated in 2017 with new cabinets, granite counter, oversized sink, reverse osmosis filter (at sink and ice maker), garbage disposal, under cabinet lighting, laminate flooring, gas stainless steel appliances, and more. Main bathroom is split with pocket door so one person can use sink area while another bathes. Cherry wood cabinets surround granite counter with sunken sink. Nice size bedrooms with master bedroom boasting renovated bathroom with custom tiled shower and corian counter. Full attic with pull down stairs is perfect for storage.
Downstairs has large laundry room area with washer, gas dryer, sink, and counter. Gas boiler was replaced in 2009. New gas hot water heater replaced in 2015. Backyard water hose can be warm water. Pool heated with aquastat and heat exchange unit inside laundry room. Fourth bedroom (or office) is downstairs as well, with playroom that has more storage than you'd probably need! Half bath is located downstairs with closet and pedestal sink. There's also a whole house water filter.
In the backyard, there's also a 10x12 shed for all your storage. French drains around the house. If you have a dog, there yard is surrounded with an invisible fence.
A solar system is on the house which covers almost all your electricity bills. Summer electric bills, when you use the most with the pool and central AC, are now about $3! This saves about $1,600 worth of electricity annually!

"It is an established lake community, great if you have a young family or school aged kids. If you homeschool or are an empty nester, it is a costly place to live. Public transit is non existent. No sidewalks in Shongum Lake area. Easy access to I-80 and I-287."
  • Jeanettefranko
"kids play together all the time outside. no community playground but yard space is plentiful to put your own playset and trampoline. "

"I’ve lived in Randolph for 31 years, my husband for his entire life of 58 years. Since we live on a main thoroughfare, traffic noise is an issue. Also, we don’t get trick or treaters on Halloween. We are only close to one of our neighbors and plan to move in the next year."
  • Elleif
"There is a dog park. There are trails to walk or jog and dogs on leash are permitted. Neighborhoods that are off main thoroughfare are dog friendly and I often see people walking their dogs."
  • Ashley H.
"Other owners do not leash their animals, so theres constantly the charade of trying to keep viscous dogs away from you or your pet. "
