7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSo the curriculum at this school is a hot mess ! Especially the science classes . Students that take regular standard science classes not honors not AP get similar curriculum . All the students are failing . Test are being failed . Students give up because they know they wont pass the test .Assignments are every where nothing aligns . Students survive in test retakes . So many students are struggling . I don’t see how the administration can’t see its right in their face they aren’t learning it’s to intense . Curriculum is way over the top . That’s why these students are not taking honors or AP courses . Not sure what GPS is trying to achieve . If I was starting my student in high school . I would look at other districts . Families I know that attend chandler school district are shocked when they see GPS - Highland HS assignments and mass emails for students failing !! Believe this is why many are attending to charters schools . Sports is also in the decline at Highland . More kids won’t be able to participate due to college or above curriculum. Run from this school . The Math department also struggles no one teaches . Don’t worry GPS just wants more students to take online classes to retake classes they failed. It is more money for them . Then they have Canyon HS to send your child to. So many parents at other districts do not receive mass emails for so many students ta failing to go to another school during fall break to bring grades up . Why not look at why all these students are failing !! How can you have over 5 plus student a all failing. Enter classes failing or class average on test barely a c or lower !! Don’t be blind sided by GPS and it’s Highland HS . It basically online teach your self . Assuming Highland HS graduation rate is actually lower than what they show . They send the students to Canyon HS .Parent Review1y ago17 Reviews - Highland Jr High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter attends this school and absolutely loves it! The school has high expectations in both academics and character. Teachers truly take the time to get to know all the students, understanding their strengths and individual needs. My daughter feels valued and encouraged to succeed every day by all the teachers at school. Students are respectful and kind, contributing to a positive and welcoming school culture. As an A-rated school, the academic quality is evident through engaging and well-planned lessons. Teachers make learning enjoyable while still challenging students to think critically. There are excellent support systems in place to help all students grow and succeed. Most importantly, the caring teachers and positive environment make it a place where students genuinely love coming to school. They also have several school events for families to attend.Parent Review1mo ago33 Reviews - Check out schools near 6945 E Via Northgate.

"Some parts of Mesa are great to raise family. While some parts are questionable. Such as the Broadway and Dobson are. Take note of where you’re moving to in Mesa and do research. "

"Not enough pet areas with doggie bags available. Lots of wasted unused space that could be used for fur babies that I see a lot of walking around with their owners throughout the day. "

"My neighborhood is friendly and has more animal lovers around than you would imagine. I also have a short commute to the freeway to get to work or parts of Scottsdale and Phoenix quickly. Everything is in the long stretch of road that I live on that I would need from day to day. I love this area simply because it has gotten better and its not perfect but its getting better. All we can do is try and take it one day at a time and one small act of kindness a day to change the future of our community we live in. "

"Park started out nice, has gone downhill in less than a year. They no longer trim palm trees, & the water has been off since yesterday-no notice given, no way to reach anyone, office closed on weekends.Tried calling office number, it's out of order! Mgmt is rubbish, no way to contact anyone to address or improve anything. If you value your sanity, don't move here."
