The office staff is very difficult to communicate with. There is a language barrier with the gal answering the phones in the office, on more than one occasion we have not been able to have basic questions answered because of this. We were at the school waiting for a meeting with a staff member and were sent away by the office lady only to receive a call shortly after asking why we didn't come to the meeting?! The short time my child went to Deskin, he was very unhappy. He reads at highschool level and the teacher told us "he will read what everyone else in my class reads" he quickly became bored, I then received a call that he wasn't paying attention. He never had issues at his previous school. He is a very eager learner.We tried the online for a few weeks at the beginning of this school year. His teacher repeatedly kicked him offline the entire day for humming or other small things during Zoom meetings. It's up to the teacher to keep the children muted, she sent an email blaming him. Denying a 7 year old an entire day of education for humming is absurd! I'd hate to see how she behaves in the classroom. This teacher also shared her political views which is absolutely not her place. I will *never* send my child back there and I would tell any other parent to stay very clear of this place!

My daughter was attacked on October 6th around 9:50am. My family and I got to view the video on what happened to my daughter. It is clear in the video that one boy blocked her in while the other placed my daughter in a headlock lock. He slammed her on the ground and punched her many times in the face. Not only did he punch her in the face but he tried to knee her in the face as well. The school is refusing to hold the other boy accountable. They tried to say that someone stated my daughter said a racial remark to the boy which was false. The principal is hiding the fact that this was racially motivated. The other boy involved is still attending the school with no punishment. They turned off their Google reviews so you can't post there. The principal spoke highly of my daughter and said she is always respectful and yet you allowed someone to lie on her. The boy clearly told her to watch out n word and that's not being addressed. This was a hate crime nothing less. We will fight to get the video released so you can see what we can see. The principal failed to show us the video on a proper screen like he showed the first clip before the attack. We had to take turns watching it on his dark laptop screen. They simply do not want this to come out as a hate crime. My daughter has never had a bad remark about her since kindergarten. This school has failed my child but chose to target her brother who attends the same school after he threatened to protect his sister. What's to stop this from happening to your child of color? Justice for my daughter will be served with or without the schools help. Not one adult was seen in the video not one!

Horrible. Worst possible school. So bad. Seriously.
