"this area is kid friendly and a very low crime rate, just like in any small town, great school district "
  • Roxanne L.
"I’ve lived here for 19 years. It’s always been a great place to live. Most people are nice, there’s great schools, and there’s plenty around to shop at. "
  • Roxanne L.
"Big Walnut Schools are amazing. They do so much good with the limited budget they’re given. They also always make community events great. Speaking of, all the community events are child friendly. "
  • Rlefevre
"Sizzle and Sound is my favorite festival!! It’s always so fun for everyone regardless of age! We enjoy the music, specifically DJ ‘Mico! The beer garden is great, and there’s always fun games and incredible food!"
  • Zadi A.
"Schools are good till high school. Housing is good, people are nice nice but fake. Good and bad parts of neighborhood "
  • Trulia User
"The 4th of July celebration, and the Parade and Flea Market, the Labor Day Ox Roast and Flea Market,"
  • Helen B.
"I’m 15 minutes from the middle of town. I live outside of town. Feel I’m close enough to get around easily!"
  • Helen B.
"There is a big party for all the neighbors in the summer. The neighbors are helpful if you need a helping hand!"
  • Helen B.
"I have lived in the Sunbury area on and off for 15 years. The only thing I don’t like is all of the development. Not a small town any more."
  • Tiffbabinsky
"I work in a northern suburb of Cbus. Not a bad commute - 30 minutes - country roads part of the way. "
  • Alexander K.
"Very tight knit community that feels a bond between all residents. Only downside is personal and private news travel quicker than some would like"
  • John Z.
"Country fresh air with quick access to Sunbury and Interstate 71. A huge shopping area is only 18 miles away that includes all major retailers including Costco and fantastic restaurants. Great neighbors and excellent schools are a real family draw to this area."
  • kathmath
"Lovely area if you like to be isolated. There are a few standard fast food places nearby, and a Cracker Barrel, which is nice. Also gas stations right at 71 on 36. Grocery stores are a few miles or so in each direction. Most anything you need other than groceries or gas requires a trip to Polaris/Lewis Center in Columbus. Forget about taking walks - there are no sidewalks. You are pretty close to Alum Creek Beach, Marina, and a dog park though. The downside: propane tanks, no land line phones / internet. So far we have found only one internet provider - Verizon MiFi - and they charge per megabyte; you WILL surpass your quota and pay an arm and a leg for internet! As for TV - we have a satellite, but more often than not (and that's an understatement) there is no signal. If you are alone or would be lost without your car - this is not the place for you. If you have kids, be prepared to do a lot of chauffeuring. On the plus side, schools are awesome."

"Live in this area and love it! Close to everything."
