Room Description
Come be my housemate in an epic home. The place is perched a ten minute walk from Montclair village at the top of Estates drive. It's a huge three floor mid-century home with huge windows overlooking a fruit tree filled yard with so many birds. The front of the house overlooks the entire Bay Area. Sunsets are epic!
Modernized kitchen, two full baths, huge garage with lots of space for storage, dishwasher and laundry.
Your space: large bedroom with two large closets and a corner window overlooking the Bay. You can see water! The bedroom is quiet.
You can also use the huge dining room with an epic view and chandelier however you like. It could be an office or loungey vibe. This room isn't totally separate but most days, you'd have privacy on this floor.
The shared space: A gorgeous living room, a second shared living room when I'm not working, a big deck, a huge yard, and a great kitchen with a dining nook. There's also a lovely guest room that can be used outside of my work also. I have a small gym set up with a peloton that I'd be open to sharing and storage in the garage.
The house is safe! Neighborhood is gorgeous! You can walk to the Glenview or Montclair village.
I am a 46 year old psychotherapist, author and podcaster. I work Monday through Thursday about 20 hours a week. I have a full social life and too. My ideal housemate would be a great communicator, interested in good shared vibes and connection though having their own life and allowing space for both of our lives in the home, capable of maintaining a clean home, capable of passing landlord's vetting as a stable housemate and ready to sign a twelve month lease. We could see if we could get a 6 month lease but she goes by the books and is planning to charge $400 dollars to redo my current lease which I am changing as I am ending a relationship with someone I have been sharing the house with.
Utilities would be shared. You should plan about $200 a month though it varies.
Move in could be flexible. Talk to me about what you need. I would defintily want to meet and make sure we vibe first.
Your rent Rent: $2400. Cost of the house is $5650 so I would be paying much more than you.
I am most likely assuming that my landlord will want us to resubmit a 12 month lease. There may be an option for a 6 month lease. I also didn't put the exact details on qualifying details on financials because I will not be the one determining this. I imagine you will need solid credit and at least two times the income.
