Description
This property is no longer available to rent or to buy. This description is from March 28, 2024
Perfect house for co-ownership or ADU potential for income coalifying lending. Sweet bungalow on quiet, well kept street that would work great for room mates or set up as two separate units. New Roof just installed! Raised beds in the front, and a lovely tulip magnolia in the back that shades a custom-built chicken coop and patio. The home has many period details on the main level, plus updates like a super quiet Miele dishwasher. Downstairs there's a newer bedroom, bathroom with towel heater, and bonus room. The Holman bike route is just a few blocks away, and so many good restaurants a few blocks away, here's just a few: Tough Luck, Ranch Pizza, Tamale Boy, Ps and Qs, Breakside, Campana, etc. Alberta Park, University of Oregon, Faubion, and Woodlawn are nice nearby green spaces. A gem of a house in a gem of a neighborhood, and, for when family comes to visit, the airport is just 15 minutes away! Open 3/9 & 3/10 from 1-3 [Home Energy Score = 5. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI don't know where this information is being pulled from but it is significantly out of date. The school's name is no longer Madison but McDaniel. It's a great school, great teachers and a significant number of AP classes offered. Also, this seems to rank based on test scores. The problem is that testing is no longer required, and many students opt out. And it's a dubious method of educational evaluation, regardless. As parents, we have been very satisfied with the education that our daughter has received there.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 6836 NE 23rd Ave.

"It’s a unique area with unique people. Not so desirable in my eyes...but everyone is different. One way streets, poorly kept yards, and a Portland weirdness that some may appreciate; not so much me."

"Fernhill Park has one of the best off leash areas in Portland. Wiltshire and Alberta parks are within easy walking distance."

"Great community with great local parks for pets. Quiet. Streets are a little small and most residents park their cars on the street making driving around difficult "

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 1 year and absolutely love it. My favorite neighborhood in Portland by far. A great mix of young professionals, families, retired individuals are dispersed in my neighborhood. All all very friendly and easy going. Very dog friendly park (Alberta park). Tree lined alleys are great areas for getting away from city for a walk. Neighborhood is close to mcminamins, new seasons, Safeway, Me 24 hr fitness, and all the shops on Killingsworth/Alberta. It can be expensive to live here but is well worth it, definitely an up and coming area with lots of development ahead."

"It's a neighborhood where virtually all struggling families have been displaced. It has rapidly gentrified and many smaller, affordable homes are being demolished in favor of new, overpriced McMansions and McDuplexes."

"It’s a neighborhood made of amazing people instead of just “hip” businesses. Also, best bridge in Portland, hands down. "

"This Concordia neighborhood is absolutely charming, a lovely park, great for walking and beautifully maintained by its residents. And Kennedy School and New Seasons are just around the corner!"

"This is the best area to live in Portland - close to all amenities, quiet, friendly neighbors, close to bus and Max, totally walkable/bikeable. "
