Summer vacation rental - My townhome is a quiet paradise with a modern vibe. Close enough to the beach for ocean breezes, temperatures are moderate year round. Sun streams into the private garden courtyard for morning coffee. The private back patio with sunset views is perfect for evening BBQs. I have two masters (both queens but can convert one to twins) plus a first floor 1/2 bath. No AC, but it's not needed due to proximity to the ocean. There are ceiling fans and a whole house fan for the 10 or so days each year when additional cooling is needed. Within the complex there's a pool with plenty of lounging space, tennis courts, and jacuzzi area with patio tables for sunset views over the Pacific.

South Carlsbad State Beach is exactly one mile from the front door. Legoland is 2 miles away. Beach communities of Carlsbad, Leucadia, and Encinitas, with their restaurants and entertainment, are only a few miles away. Downtown San Diego is a 40 minute drive south. Or catch the Coaster, less than 2 miles away, and ride the train to San Diego or north to Orange County and LA.

Home and kitchen are well equipped. You'll have use of beach chairs and towels, an umbrella, cooler, and a few toys - everything you need to relax at the beach. PETS considered.

This is a seasonal, summer rental, available for a minimum of 30 days between the dates of June 21 - September 3. Rent includes all furnishings, well-equipped kitchen, linens and towels, beach chairs, wifi, and all utilities.

    "1 minute from freeway onramp. Easy access to the 5. Shopping center is 1/4 mile away and the beach is 5 minutes away. Most everyone in n the area take really good care of their places and when I get home from work in the evening I love to take a swim and jacuzzi in the pool. "

    "The parking regulations suck in the HOA, and good luck fighting them on it. But there are stores and the train within walking distance. Everyone is very nice. Area is very dog friendly. There is basically a Yappy Hour every night at 6 at the park across the street."

    "The HOA at Alta Mira I does not like kids. They threaten to fine you if they ride bikes, skate boards, climb on trees, have fun, etc. They also hate dogs. They constantly threaten to fine everyone for the simplest of things, including letting them pee on a neighbors front yard...yes, front yard. There are a lot of nice people here, but the HOA is run by a bunch of grumpy old people that complain and want to fine everyone. Also, there is no parking. On trash day, the trash cans take up the entire street parking. Everyone begins to fight each other for street space, not only in the cul de sacs, but the entire community. This place was not set up for families to live at all. With all that said, its typically quiet and pretty safe. Just know that to use any of the common areas, while publicly encouraged, is secretly not popular as these people seem to want to put fines out there for everything. Don't take my word for it...Just ask for a copy of the most recent HOA news letter and you will see exactly what I am talking about."
