5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would recommend this school. My kid has felt encouraged and excited to learn. The softball and swim teams provided a nurturing and positive experience. While there are incident reports, my kid has never felt unsafe. The principal and staff are helpful. Teaching experience is mixed - would say that 3 out of 5 teachers are motivating and have made a significant difference in my child's learning. Overall a great experience!Parent Review6mo ago12 Reviews - Maynard H. Jackson- Jr. High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur experience has been very Positive. We have absolutely loved our Elementary School teachers - 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade teachers have been amazing. My child feels safe and cared for. She also has fun and really looks forward to school and learning. The PTA does a great job of including families and Principal Foster, Miss HG and the leadership team do a phenomenal job of running this ship! The teachers and staff are especially supportive of kids that need attention and they have a lot of experience and patience working with kids from various backgrounds and learning levels. It is a very "inclusive" culture.Parent Review2y ago51 Reviews - Check out schools near 68 Ormond St.

"So easy and convenient to where I work. I can use 75/85 or I-20 to get to work, entertainment or shopping. The new downtown Summerhill area is so cute! I can’t wait until all the restaurants are open."

"Summerhill the most historic and oldest community right next to Grant Park. Centrally located right at the heart of downtown Atlanta. Both 75/85 and I-20 are at your disposal for getting to work, shopping or fun very quickly. With new renovations and possibilities happening at the former Turner Field, the worth of this neighborhood will be increasing ."

"Dog owners love living in Summerhill because Grant park is right up the street, and there are dog parks in Grant Park. They might not like the fast drivers though."

"The traffic in Atlanta is horrible, the drivers suck. However, in the neighborhood, there aren't a lot of drivers. But the few drivers on the road drive fast and reckless, so my commute is typically risky. I try not to die."

"Parents should know that there are two pedophiles residing in Summerhill. Kids walk up and down the streets of Summerhill, but are harassed by older men."

"We have a lot of affordable housing close to Downtown Atlanta and GA State Stadium. We also are minutes away from Zoo Atlanta and Grant Park. We offer a lot of beauty in our neighborhood such as planting trees and starting gardens."

"The kids of the neighborhood are so friendly, I see them everyday, and honestly on summer days I buy popsicles just for them. At night it is very rough, the street lights need to be fixed and kids stay out late so make sure the headlights are on."

"Loud neighbors and loud cars and loud circuses in Turner field parking lots (for 33 days each year) and loud concerts and loud traffic. "
2Flag - nknapp3

"The loud music and rude neighbors are typical of this neighborhood. My neighbors hate me because they think I’m part of gentrification, but I’m not. I live here because it’s cheaper than Kirkwood. But it’s cheaper for a reason: it’s a noisy food desert. "
