4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to Okeeffe as a child had great memories from cheerleading to talent shows etc... I'm now 36 and my 11 year has been at Okeeffe since the head start she is now in the 5th grade When the school turned around to AUSL it was going goo Mrs. Bankhead was a great principal even Mrs.Cap my child was a elite cougar choir etc... but since they have left the school has went down hill no good after school programs soon city year will leave too I have decided since my child makes the grades she will be leaving for sixth grade.Parent Review5y ago

"High crime area. High unemployment area. Near buses and Metra trains. Near lakefront and Rainbow beach. Area use to be nice, clean blue collar in the seventies. Decline started in the eighties and nineties (relocation of people from demolished housing developments) to areas nearby. Improvement might come sometime in the future because of location to the lake."

"Close to golf course, public transportation, and lake front. Lived here for 33 years without issues. Some areas are worst than others, but overall you can enjoy lakeside or lake vicinity living without the price. "
