  • Ariel Gonzalez
"Glass and needles, trash, loud noises at night (gunshots, fireworks, explosions) not many grassy areas or dog parks that are safe and kept clean. But 20 minute walk to lake Merritt (in front of fairyland) where you can socialize your dog. The downtown area is much cleaner than the neighborhoods below telegraph going towards west Oakland. "
  • Trulia User
"The commute is bad depending on where your going and when your going. However, it is the Bay Area so you should plan accordingly. "
  • Trulia User
"pet friendly owners and very caring owners/neighbors Mixture of different types of pets: dogs, cats, chickens, bunnies, guinea pigs and birds"
  • Ivan T.
"It's fine. Hoover-Foster ( or Ghosttown, as many know it) has its problems, mostly due to all the encampments around. It's mostly safe, but I wouldn't walk around at night with headphones on or anything. "
  • Trulia User
"45 mins to city via 2 buses. I can also use bart or drive if necessary. Typically an easy commute. Only sucks when raining. "
  • Kathleensueltz
"Close to West Oakland, MacArthur, and 19th st Bart. Easy access to bus lines and 580, 24, and 880. "
  • Viejanatalie
"Very family oriented neighborhood, many with pets. The dog park is very close within walking distance. All around quiet neighborhood and very pleasant."
