  • Keyonna Jenkins
"I love it here and love the home I just built with a big back yard with a swimming pool, hot tub, and turn my basement into a second home "
  • Shannon F. B.
"you see people walking their dogs all the time day and night. it's very family-oriented and pet friendly neighborhood"
  • Kortney M.
"Horrible. I absolutely hate it. it is not a conducive environment to raise children at all. The roads are horrible, the schools are horrible and I want to leave."
  • Exhubby4sale
"Supportive neighbors that look after each other. There is a small park for kids and nearby stores, schools, and a hospital. Great area to take your dog for a walk or your family for family time and I’m not sure why you want me to write a journal."
  • Exhubby4sale
"This area is a good area to live in but don’t send your kids to School here. Other schools are a better option."
  • Megan K.
"Sodus is a small farm town with not too much more than the basics, the park and Library is fine but nothing too over the top. there's a small grocery store called King's Landing and a school called River School. "
  • Softballstud21
"There isn’t a dog park for the dogs. But it’s a nice big slow traffic area. I see a lot of people walking there dogs all the time. It could use a dog park! "
  • Savedwoman
"We have parades and other community events. We have park events rummage sales. We have picnics dinners. We have walkathons."
  • Claudia G.
"I see people walking all the time, they seem happy walking through our neighborhood, kids, dogs running around everywhere, it's so nice, to have wonderful, neighbors to, so far I like to live in this neighborhood, it's not 100 % secure but my kids are always playing outside, and I haven't have any trouble, I need more privacy, but that's why I am going to put my fence, so it's more private, I really enjoy living in this community, wonderful things happen, in this area."
  • Ebony T.
"Dog owners will like that it is a pet friendly area. There are a lot of nice pet owners around my area. Even the people in my area that aren't pet owners seems like they like the pets when they see them. I like living in the area that I live in because it is pet friendly and if I ever decide to get an pet it will feel at home while it is at home with me. "
  • Fermin I.
"Alot of insecurity in this area in my opinion. Some dogs are sometimes loose. Some ppl tend to drive fast and have loud music. "
  • Trulia User
"I wouldn’t recommend letting kids play outside without supervision. Also don’t take a walk in this neighborhood."
  • Fermin I.
"There's a church nearby and alot of events happen there. The neighborhood can be better if we got more law enforcement in the area, but not just this area. The whole Benton Harbor. Benton Harbor has the potential to be great with many businesses around and of course Whirlpool. Make the roads better for Benton Harbor and establish more law enforcement!"
  • Bosslady x.
"The community events that make my neighborhood special are yard sales well really give aways because I and my neighbors are always helping others out"
  • Bosslady x.
"I lived in this area a very long time & I love it because it’s so peaceful & close to the plaza area"
  • Lewismccoy44
"Good place to live and the weather is alright down here and if you want a vacation this is the place to go and friend people living here Great jobs here to and a good movie "
  • Diane W. W.
"I've in this area since the sge of 8. I've attend college in Muskegon, returned, back to this hood. Moved in surrounding hoods & moved out of state several times, always end up back in same neighborhood. Middle aged & disabled, I guess it's nice to be in familiar surroundings. "
  • Kim B.
"Awesome 3 br ranch in Bainbridge Twp, Watervliet Schools. "
  • Kellylarosa
"The location is quite with no traffice except the residents that live on this side of the lake. We have learned alot about the history of the lake and surrounding property from those that have lived on the lake all their lives. Our neighbors are great. If you need anything they are able to help or know someone that could. At night you can see all the stars."
  • NLBJ
"I live here and am dismayed by the increasing amount of disrespectful people who visit the area. They bring multiple dogs, let them run without a leash, poop and pee without cleaning messes up, don't care if their dogs kick sand in your face or knock you down. These non-residents don't observe ā€œNo Parkingļæ½? signs and think that laws don't apply to them. They smoke cigarettes and leave their butts all over the place along with a multitude of beer cans. These visitors set off fireworks in the early morning hours (i.e. 1-2 am) with no regard of endangering people and property much less disturbing the peace. Many fireworks dangerously land on rooftops. The police do not patrol the area and get annoyed if residents ask for law enforcement. This is not a good area to invest your money unless Benton Township starts being more proactive."
