4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a student at East campus and graduated in 2011. This school was amazing when I went. Yes, each school has its problems. There were fights, but administration dealt with it pretty well actually. Most teachers are effective and they genuinely care about meeting students needs. There were a few teachers who should not have been teaching there. I was college ready. The school does talk to their students about college, and it is emphasized more than people realize. I've since graduated and am pursuing my Master's Degree so I can say Central East did prepare me for college. There are great English teachers and Science teachers at this campus. It's just a campus that struggles to deal with student motivation on occasion, but that is most high school campuses unfortunately.Other Review8y ago11 Reviews - River Bluff Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent/stepparent of a student at this school, I am deeply disappointed and concerned about how bullying and student safety are handled. My child has been involved in repeated incidents with the same group of students, yet meaningful action has not been taken to protect him or prevent future problems. Despite being told that certain students were supposed to be kept separated, this has clearly not been enforced. In the most recent incident, my child was physically kicked repeatedly on the playground before defending himself. Afterward, the way the situation was handled in the office was disturbing. My child was made to sit with his head down while the other student was treated more favorably. He was even threatened afterward — in the office — and staff allegedly expressed being “on the other child’s side.”This school claims to have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, but in reality there appears to be little accountability, little discipline, and poor follow-through. We have also seen a troubling pattern of our child being singled out by certain staff members, even being questioned about incidents on days he was not present.Communication has also been poor. Parents were not notified promptly, and important information had to be chased down.I want to trust that my child is safe at school. Right now, I don’t. The lack of supervision, inconsistent discipline, and apparent bias from some staff members have seriously shaken our confidence in this school and the district.Until student safety, fairness, and accountability are treated as priorities — not just talking points — I cannot recommend this school to other families.Parent Review4mo ago6 Reviews - Rio Vista Middle School

"It’s quiet, decently kept. Only bad thing is the random foot traffic from tweakers here and there but they don’t hurt anyone so that’s cool"

"Fresno criminal activity is high. In the past year we’ve had our license in plates stolen, drunken fights, police visits to our neighbors, items stolen from our porch, and dirty looks and bad attitude. Keep in mind we don’t hang out with our neighbors and we are always kind and respectful to them. "

"This is a “dog-friendly” neighborhood... in fact I have purposefully built a patio in the front yard to welcome neighbors, interact with them and if they walk their dogs I have “doggie treats” and water for them. Several regular dog walkers make an intentional stop for a quick chat and little treat for their dogs... so if you are a dog walker, look for the house with the “front yard patio” and enjoy a chat and treat for your dog!"

"Lots of dog owners and friendly neighbors. I have a front yard patio with water dish as well as doggie treats along with a friendly conversation. It’s a fun neighborhood and we love Country Villa Estates, been here 34 years. "
