Located in the heart of the historic Capitol Hill neighborhood, this is a beautifully designed historic DC row house with 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. Perfect as a home base for exploring (on foot!) all that D.C. has to offer!!

The second level of the home houses two bedrooms. This home has a total of two queen beds and comfortably sleeps a maximum number of 4 guests. The primary bedroom is light-filled with a hotel-quality bed, and plenty of storage, and blackout shades. The other bed is located in a den and office space that easily converts to a guest room with a convertible and ultra-comfortable sleeper sofa with gel mattress. On this level in the hallway between the two bedrooms is the full bathroom in the home, which was newly-renovated with high-end finishes.

The main level of the home features a designer kitchen, newly-renovated half-bath, dining area and spacious living room with a picture window.

PRIME LOCATION:
15-minute walk to U.S. Capitol, Supreme Court, Library of Congress, National's Baseball Park, Navy Yard, and Union Station. A few short blocks to the Marine Commandant's mansion and Marine Barracks where the world-famous Marine Corp Band plays on Friday evenings in the summer.
Minutes walk to historic Eastern Market, which is open daily and filled with vendors offering fresh fruit and vegetables, fish, and meat. EVERY weekend there is a farmer's market and vendors selling a wide variety of original art and crafts.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to this entire 2-bedroom private row house.

Interaction with Guests:
While we offer self contact-less check-in for your convenience, we are only ever a message away should you need anything at all during your stay.

The Neighborhood:
The actual Eastern Market is the Capitol Hill neighborhood's most popular business, and the main reason nonresidents visit the neighborhood. The market, located on 7th Street SE between Independence Avenue SE and C Street SE, is the nucleus for the Capitol Hill neighborhood and a popular destination for DC visitors. The market includes the South Hall Market where merchants sell fresh produce, baked goods, meats, and deli products. Fresh Tuesdays Farmers Market features local farmers' produce, meat, and cheese. During the weekend the market promotes The Weekend Farmers Line where local farmers sell produce year-round and The Weekend Outdoor Market that includes local artists selling handmade arts and crafts. Eastern Market also offers The North Hall Event Space, an arts and community center, inside the market where locals can hold meetings, wedding receptions, and other events.

Locals frequent the market daily to buy fresh produce and meat. Eastern Market has been compared to a very European way of living with residents buying their daily meals fresh from the market. As a community hub, the market has become the focal point of the neighborhood.

Getting Around:
Travel by METRO subway with the nearest station only a 4-minute walk away at Eastern Market station, on the ORNG/BL/SLV lines

Hop on the METRO bus to get around town up the block at 8th St & E Street SE bus stop.

Rent a bike at the nearest Capital bikeshare: At The Eastern Market METRO, or alternatively at 11th & C Streets SE

Lime, Bird, Lyft, and Uber JUMP scooters (and bikes) are readily available on nearly every corner of the city wherever you can find one, rent them easily using their app and your smartphone.

Other Things to Note:
Please note that this home does not offer a washer and dryer, so please be prepared with extra clothes and/or to take a trip to the nearest laundromat. Please also note that this is a historic rowhouse that shares a wall with neighbors. Our neighbors are friendly and respectful. We have always found them to be very quiet but occasionally you hear some noise, which is part of city living!
