5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe situation at Marshall High School reflects significant challenges that hinder both student motivation and overall educational effectiveness. While there is potential for the school to thrive, systemic issues within the administration, faculty, and teaching methodologies have created an environment that is less than conducive to student success. Administrators often exhibit disrespectful behavior towards students, fostering an atmosphere of intimidation rather than support. This disregard for professional etiquette diminishes the respect and trust that are essential for a positive educational environment. There is a troubling tendency for both teachers and administrators to provide inconsistent information. For instance, a teacher may grant one student permission for a specific activity while denying another under similar circumstances. This inconsistency not only undermines student trust but also creates confusion and frustration. The administrative team appears to struggle with organization and communication. Frequent miscommunication and unclear policies contribute to an environment where students feel unsupported and undervalued. This lack of clarity can lead to increased anxiety and disengagement among students. The absence of effective social-emotional support mechanisms exacerbates the challenges faced by students. Rather than feeling encouraged and understood, many students report feelings of dread associated with school, stemming from administrative pressures, excessive workloads, and a pervasive sense of inadequacy.A lack of encouragement and acknowledgment from administration can lead to diminished enthusiasm for learning. When students feel that their efforts are unrecognized, their motivation to engage in academic activities wanes. The challenges at Marshall High School are deeply intertwined with the administrative approach and its impact on student well-being. Addressing these issues through respect, accountability, and emotional support is essential for creating a more positive and motivating educational experience. Reforming the current environment will better enable students to thrive academically and personally.Other Review3w ago7 Reviews - Neff Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am sorry to say this, but I did not enjoy this school. Stupid rules are the least of your worries. I have been bullied several times by children who do not want me to succeed. The teachers were fine, but only people my race actually cared. I was hit, yelled at, and really few higher ups stood up for me. I was squeezed to death by how much anxiety I had just by one of the bullies had came up to me. Thank god though with the help of teachers, I passed with honors on my staar test and am now at connally where I am getting straight A's. Thank you to the people that cared, but for now, many of the people there are going to make it hell.Other Review1y ago20 Reviews - Oak Hills Terrace Elementary School

"This area seems to be alot more seculded and private than alot in this area code. Alot of people are home during the day which is nice, alot of teachers as well as medical professionals live in this area. This home is in the back of this little area, total privacy, windows look out on beautiful mature landscape or trees. Very Private. The neighbors are great too. Is a great place to walk if you like to get out. great sidewalks. It is security patrolled as well."
