"The Township events during the year and holiday events are fun for families and elder. Church events and downtown vibe is good. Clean environment and garbage pick up is good."
  • Luis Ortiz
"People love to play games with their friends and family because they know how much fun it is to have them around and be able to play together with them in real life without having to deal "
  • Outlaw2173
"Not really , no dog parks and nothing for them to do. The aren’t a lot of groomers. There is a PetSmart. "
  • Outlaw2173
"Safe place, schools are average. Semi diverse population. Sports and athletics are moderately supported. Not a lot of extra curricular activities or things to do. "
  • Heather F.
"I have lived in this neighborhood for 18 years and my brother in law has a business in the town. My son has grown up in the school district and the town is such a good place to grow up in "
  • Amondjoy09
"They have different community centers for all age groups. It’s quiet and clean. Some neighbors are friendly. "
  • Dwayne C.
"My neighborhood is very good and quiet and I live on dead end block. Also have a Shoprite and Walmart close by "
  • Amondjoy09
"Nice and clean quiet neighborhood there are a few malls to shop from. This makes it easy to travel to because they’re near by. "
  • Zadayah H.
"It has a good school system and different jobs to work at and a lot of food places. It is expensive and the parks are dirty "
  • Ruby
"To teach their kids about safety. To not go to strangers no matter what they tell you. They should also have Security Guards in every school. Children need to feel safe in their school. "
  • Ana M. .
"Good place to live very peaceful and dog friendly. Plenty of parks stores and more near by. Easy access to other neighboring towns like East Brunswick or New Brunswick."
  • Ninobrown2290
"I live here for over 10 years and the town is very clean everything is well maintained no bums no loud music "
  • Tracey C.
"Great access to public transportation and easy to access anything you need, schools, library, convenience stores, etc. "
  • Suelane33
"Good mix of people. Everyone looks out for each other. Decent schools. The downtown area needs fixing but is not dirty. "
  • Nikki D. G.
"I haven’t participated in any. I’ve only been renting for a year and I work a lot. My neighbors are friendly though and I can walk my dog in the neighborhood. "
  • Jgrullon11
"Well I’m not familiar with many events. What does make this city distinct from other is it has a unique energy as it is close to the water and the population is mixed mostly consisting of Portuguese, Russian, Hispanics. There are many different restaurants as the neighboring cities are: Perth Amboy, East Brunswick, Sayreville, mill town, Newbrunwick....the list goes on. Walmart, shoprite, and Best Buy are a 10 minute drive away."
  • Jgrullon11
"Major highways are easily within reach...New Jersey turnpike 15 min, route 18 10 min, and connects to Sayreville which gets us right into the parkway and route 9."
  • George R.
"good small neighborhood, everyone watches out for each other! Police very involved in the community. you feel safe at all times. The teachers are awesome and care for our kids . Best investment in my life was moving to this small town . Shopping ,beaches and schools all near by "
  • Dmonteleone01
"Schools aren’t the best but the neighborhood is so sweet for kiddos to play in. Lots of back roads and most people respect the speed limits "
  • Juliet K.
"There's really nothing unique about South River. It's a dry, boring, old person's town with nothing to do and neighbors who will constantly judge and talk about you behind your back. Almost everyone here is a two faced person and if you were smart you'd live somewhere where, if you get hurt, people would actually stop to see if you're alright."
  • Npokriots
"We all mow our lawns. We tend to wave to each other. Most people want to keep clean and neat. We hope that our neighborhood reaches its top potential. We do not want a dark neighborhood. We like bright, shiny, and clean. "
  • Npokriots
"I grew up in a neighboring town, but never new how perfect south river really was for us. Its municipality takes a lot of pride and doesn’t outsource contracts. Neighborhood is well kept and people take pride. Lenardine heights and Corpus Christi area is perfect for new families"
  • Khay T.
"I have live in south river for about 7 years. I enjoy south river due to it's close proximity to the daily things I need. parks, shopping, entertainment."
