"I haven’t participated in any. I’ve only been renting for a year and I work a lot. My neighbors are friendly though and I can walk my dog in the neighborhood. "
  • Jgrullon11
"Well I’m not familiar with many events. What does make this city distinct from other is it has a unique energy as it is close to the water and the population is mixed mostly consisting of Portuguese, Russian, Hispanics. There are many different restaurants as the neighboring cities are: Perth Amboy, East Brunswick, Sayreville, mill town, Newbrunwick....the list goes on. Walmart, shoprite, and Best Buy are a 10 minute drive away."
  • Jgrullon11
"Major highways are easily within reach...New Jersey turnpike 15 min, route 18 10 min, and connects to Sayreville which gets us right into the parkway and route 9."
  • George R.
"good small neighborhood, everyone watches out for each other! Police very involved in the community. you feel safe at all times. The teachers are awesome and care for our kids . Best investment in my life was moving to this small town . Shopping ,beaches and schools all near by "
  • Dmonteleone01
"Schools aren’t the best but the neighborhood is so sweet for kiddos to play in. Lots of back roads and most people respect the speed limits "
  • Juliet K.
"There's really nothing unique about South River. It's a dry, boring, old person's town with nothing to do and neighbors who will constantly judge and talk about you behind your back. Almost everyone here is a two faced person and if you were smart you'd live somewhere where, if you get hurt, people would actually stop to see if you're alright."
  • Npokriots
"We all mow our lawns. We tend to wave to each other. Most people want to keep clean and neat. We hope that our neighborhood reaches its top potential. We do not want a dark neighborhood. We like bright, shiny, and clean. "
  • Npokriots
"I grew up in a neighboring town, but never new how perfect south river really was for us. Its municipality takes a lot of pride and doesn’t outsource contracts. Neighborhood is well kept and people take pride. Lenardine heights and Corpus Christi area is perfect for new families"
  • Khay T.
"I have live in south river for about 7 years. I enjoy south river due to it's close proximity to the daily things I need. parks, shopping, entertainment."
