The staff of East Omak Elementary have created a warm welco ing environment for all students. They effectively implement technology to support academic teaching and learning. My child is thrilled to go to school at East Omak Elementary because of the positive school environment, fun assemblies from the Methow Arts Alliance, caring teachers, wonderful Library program, and the use of iPads in the classrooms. Although, the schools student achievement on State tests are not where we would like them to be, the school has a strategic plan they are implementing to support student learning. I encourage people to visit this school to see the positive climate that has been developed over the last few years.

I really didnt like not being able to walk her into the school but that is about it

The only thing I learned is that the hotdogs give you diarrhea.

Not at all pleased with school lunches at this point. Not impressed with the discipline policies and enforcement. Teachers and vice-principal are pretty good, but don't care for the principal or her methods. Very condescending to students and parents alike. No place for students to play during lunch recess (which is only about 5 minutes long after their 10 minute lunch). This school teaches 5-8th graders...11-14 yr olds....they still need time and a place to play. They need real, healthy food options and adequate time to eat it. The skyward family access website is not utilized to its full potential. There are far too many programs andaccomodations for troubled and struggling children relative to the number of programs and opportunities for advanced students.

Love it! I'm so happy we have this choice for public school.

My daughter has been in WAVA since 3rd third grade. She has blossomed into a confident honor student prepared to meet the demands of college. We have had excellent experiences with teachers and counselors and have found them easy to reach and quick to respond. Love that there is zero bullying and no high school drama with boys or fashion. Highly satisfied!

WAVA K-12 is a wonderful online public school. I have been home schooling my 2 boys, Brady who is 16 and Ashton who is 11, for 6 years now. I decided to pull my boys from the regular brick and mortar school because the teacher to student ratio was 1 to 30. This was very unacceptable for my husband and me. After researching the many different options we chose WAVA K-12 due to the personal recommendations and the type of education they had to offer. This program is adaptable to every students need. Whether you are a head, behind, or right on track, this program will create a schedule that is meant specifically for your student s needs. My 16 year old son is advanced with his schooling. He has been able to use this program to advance and fulfill his specific career goals. He will be attending college full time which will allow him to get his A.A. Transfer degree and his High School diploma at the same time. This program is truly wonderful and I would encourage everyone to use this program for your home schooling needs.
