Foster Elementary has many caring teachers. However, it is lacking in parent involvement and extracurricular activities for students compared to nearby elementary schools.

This is a great school. My son has done very well, and standards are kept high. The teachers are highly qualified and professional. This is a very large school with a lot of kids, and no school is perfect, but this comes close. I'm looking forward to having my other son start there in a couple of years. There is also assistance in getting prepared for college for anyone who needs it. There is tutoring available, as well as Saturday school and summer school. There are social activities, dances, clubs, ROTC, and more. There is a public bus stop right on the corner for any student who needs a ride to or from the school.

Juarez Elementary is a great school. Our family has been part of Juarez through two kids now and changes made on campus since our beginning have. We. For the better! Teachers are dedicated to teaching students and since switching to a 90/10 model in 2022 for Spanish dual-immersion the growth in language acquisition from the younger kids is amazing. Admin, teachers and staff are always available for questions and support. It’s a smaller sized school and it feels more like a community than kids been shuffled through a school. Juarez also has a great variety of events and activities on campus and after school, some held by the school itself but mostly by their parent organization (PTO). The PTO is at all events, supporting the students and families. There are some fundraising events but also so many no cost events that all families feel included. We really enjoy being at Juarez and have attended other neighborhood schools for summer academics and events and nothing quite compares.

I am very happy with Lewis Middle School. My first son graduated a couple of years ago and now my younger son is in 7th grade. The grounds are clean, the staff and teachers are amazing, and my boys have been very happy there. High standards are very important to my, and I feel that this school has done a great job on keeping the expectations high. All of the resources you need are available including tutoring and counseling. There are social clubs after school, ASB opportunities, and after school activities such as dances and dine-outs. Lewis Middle School does an excellent job of preparing students for high school by giving them planners at the beginning of each school year, and teaching them how to keep track of homework and other assignments so that they can be organized.

Run away. Your child is not safe here. Seriously, it is unsafe. My child was assaulted there in PE and now has a potential fractured growth plate in his arm, wearing a cast. Their backpack was slashed with a knife. All n the first two months. Is it worth the risk seeing what happens next? NOPE!! RUN AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL! It’s for bullies. Don’t let your child be hurt next. They can’t keep your kids safe.

Horrible. It offers two honors classes, so students applying to good colleges can't compete unless they have a super high SAT score, because of the lack of rigor. When you complain or file a legitimate grievance, they blacklist you and take it out on your child including not nominating them for scholarships, not completing forms for college applications, etc. They are absolutely horrible. The teachers are decent. The principal is the worst I've ever seen. She cares more about herself and how she looks than the students. I had a student with a 4.0 that was denied admission by several colleges just because the school never submitted the documents needed, in spite of being request months in advance. If you want your child to go to college, don't go here. The student that said they had a 4.5 - that is a lie - with only the 2 honors courses, a 4.5 GPA is absolutely impossible.

I’m an early graduating senior, an opportunity open to anyone willing to stay on track and work hard. I’m currently participating in one of the school’s unique experiences - by graduation, I will be a certified emergency medical technician (EMT), a unique program offered by the school. I also have a friend in the certified nurses assistant program, and they will be a CNA by graduation. Incredible opportunities not available elsewhere as far as I know. Many of us have also graduated with about a year of college already done, thanks to the dual enrollment program with mesa college up the road. Thanks for a great four years, Kearny BST.

The school was decent mediocre teachers that just want the paycheck. I remember taking biology here and getting this crazy teacher named Horowitz that to this day I don't know if she was bipolar or hated life or both. So, advice is to just switch out if she even still teaches there, and make sure to follow the very strict dress code.
