Juarez Elementary School

My daughter has been attending LFSD for the past three years, and we are extremely happy with the school and the staff. She receives the individual attention and care she needs, and it truly shows in her growth and confidence. The teachers and staff are supportive, caring, and dedicated, and most importantly, my daughter loves going to school every day. We are very grateful to be part of the LFSD community.

I love this school. The new principal has been great. She is quiet but behind scenes she gets the job done. All proceeds go directly towards the school and you can see where it goes. I have no complaints of this school. The last principal was very open and social, however i dont think she handled a lot of situations correctly. Which could be why there were so many turnovers the past years. There is homework, and your children will be up to date if not, further than expected for their grade levels. Parent involvement is required. Its a great way to meet the other families, its been my sons third year at this school and weve made some great friends. Overall its a great school, well behaved educated kids. Theyre putting money into a new stem lab, something is always being improved. I chose Nazareth bc a number of different clients of mine had recommended it. Some were teachers, doctors, lawyers, librarians, they all recommended it. And some had kids who went or had graduated from Nazareth and from what I have observed, they grew to become smart hard working well rounded people. Whatever theyre doing at this school seems to be working.

The principal is engaging and runs the school very well. Teachers are great and I would highly recommend!

I am 56 years old and I'm an alumnus of Soille San Diego Hebrew Day School, so I admit I am a bit biased. I have 6 kids who I sent to Hebrew Day and I am so grateful that we have this school in San Diego. All of my kids are growing up proud to be Jewish while also excelling in the secular world. My oldest daughter is in an Ivy league college and my 2nd and 3rd are in high school taking AP classes and high level math classes. If you are looking for a well balanced school that offers both a high quality secular education and a strong basis in Judaic tradition, than you can't do better than Hebrew Day. When it comes to observance, most of the kids at Hebrew Day are traditional and not orthodox, but all the parents who send their kids here recognize the importance of imbuing a strong connection to our Jewish tradition while at the same time not giving up on getting a strong secular education as well...
