My student was in special education and recieved wonderful services from a great staff. The campus was very inviting when we transfered in and was til graduation last year. The admin is very supportive and the amount of school spirit is amazing among the students. Really glad we chose Kennedy.

This school is horrible. Our autistic child went here for a short time. We had been working on a goal of having him self advocate. One day when he was having a bad day he went to the office to call home. It was a big achievement for him to be able to get the words out while distressed. The office people were rude with him and refused to allow him to call home, despite this being an accommodation that was written in his IEP. That they had been made aware of. The principal when informed saw no problem with this.Children are generally treated with contempt in this school. When you leave and go to new school you really see what it should be like, where adults can just operate with common decency, respect and as though they don’t hate their job and the children they are around.Many good staff have left under the current principal. The amount of physical fighting and aggression in the playground is frightening but not surprising given how the adults in this school behave. Avoid this school if you can. Children deserve better.

There was a witness statement for an incident that occurred on campus. The witness, a staff member working with children with disabilities, describes a negative experience with a paraeducator who worked in Classroom Two from September 16–18. The paraeducator, whose name and official role were unknown to the witness, allegedly imposed her own behavior intervention strategies without proper qualifications, disregarded standard procedures, and spoke in a condescending manner. The witness felt undermined, micromanaged, and concerned about the lack of professionalism, noting workplace harassment and bullying. The witness suspects differential treatment among the staff due to being contracted through ProCare Therapy and recommends that the school reassess how it integrates contracted staff.The teachers at John Morse allegedly are not only disrespectful to parents, but also contracted staff members at their worksite.It appears that none of the staff members at the site have experience in the field of ABA.
