"It is a diverse neighborhood but becoming less so.Rent goes up.Wages do not.Old buildings of character get emptied and turned into condos for for business types, spoiled children in a sea of khakis.I love this town. It’s where the different could come and find each other. That which made this town appealing for the leisure class has priced out the artists and misfits that created it"

"I’ve lived here for a couple years and feel very safe walking day or night. People are friendly and we have the best little corner market."

"Bar crawls and hangouts in the median. But pretty quite. But walking distance to Irish festival and other events put on by the city. It’s usually quiet, which is actually the nicest part of living in the museum district. There are also a lot of great pros in the surrounding area that are easy to get. "

"I work from home and I have a car, so I don’t know how a commute would be. When I do have to drive downtown it only takes about 10-15 min"

"Unique Richmond Fan District architecture, extraordinary walkability to all the culture & convenience you could need, quiet for being in the center of a city, and very green."

"I moved to the Museum District in order to downsize and age in place without the necessity of owning a car. The neighborhood is almost perfect for my needs. The uneven and broken sidewalks require extra caution for those with mobility issues and places to sit and rest are few and far between. "

"The streets are really walkable. It can be a tiny bit loud on the weekends but it really is a lovely place to live."

"Great access to downtown expressway, 64 and I 95 two blocks away! Walk to your neighborhood dry cleaner, one block away. Close to all that Carytown has to offer. The Museum District has all the great walkability, architecture and amenities of The Fan without the inflated prices. Great neighbors, a strong community association and a wide variety of housing stock make it a perfect place to call home."
